In Game Clock?
Hi All,

Is there a plan to implement an In-Game Clock that can be toggled? It would be nice to see what time of day it is without having to navigate to the Map screen (I use a controller) I guess we can just hit the Map Hot-Key?
Thanks!

You are right, and I have always understood that. Having a time display on the main screen would save that step for me and many others who would like to have it.

The time display could be very small and unobtrusive to the purist player.

additional thought: the H key hides the HUD/UI for screenshots, so what's the beef
I'm not interested in screenshots. I know that. My point is that there are also many players who don't want to have everything on the screen. A good example is the chapter quest. It is now permanently on the screen. No, thank you... I didn't want it. It's not optional and can't be switched off. well, at some point it's done and then it's gone. i can live with that. But if they should implement a clock on the screen, then please only optional. i don't want to have my screen full of HUD.

Your point of view is understood, and you are certainly entitled to it, just as I am entitled to mine.

The bottom line is the devs will implement or not what they see appropriate to advance the best interest of the majority, and I, for one, will accept that.

By the way, I always keep in mind that the pub/dev team is a business, and for them, they are providing a product/service to earn a living and advance their enterprise.

I don't understand, why only one option? Make it optional and everyone is happy! So many things are optional, why not that? Why does only one part of the community have to be satisfied?

yes, of course it's a business. That's why it would make sense to scare away as few players as possible. It's impossible to satisfy everyone, but by making things optional...you can at least satisfy a large part of the community.
I do not oppose 'optional' and have never opposed it. I simply affirm what I would like to see added to the game. I don't get twisted around the axle about it. I'm not here to throw your idea under the bus. We are in discussion here, and as players of this game, that's all the potential influence we have with the pub/dev team. Cheers and have a happy gaming day!

And just like you, I was merely expressing my opinion. I have no more influence on it than you do. And my opinion is, I would be against it, unless it was optional, so that I personally could turn it off. and I would also be fine if the chapter quest disappeared from the screen again. That's already too much for me.

This is a very scenic game and, of course, has some random treasures that having an uncluttered screen would make easier to spot.

That said, I'm a stat/info junkie, so I would love an optional game clock just as I wouldn't mind an optional mini map while I'm running around. Or toggle on/off. I'm easy.

I'm for clean screens and no drama discussions.

A minimap would be an excellent addition.

fun how ppl come out with the pitchforks to enforce their idea.
I like the idea of having a visible clock, be it by default or optional. Even though time is a rather modern concept, the working hours of your villagers and (more importantly) opening hours of shops depend on it.
Having to constantly open and close map just to check the current ingame time is pretty sh*te...

Yeah, I got the whole sun position thing - thanks! I was talking about a clock.

If you're the type of player, you could build yoursef a Sundial with a spear and stones.
But I seet it may would be more convenient having a clock on the HUD. :)

*moving back in my corner*

Well, if THIS isn't a great idea! :)
I'm going to do exactly that.

What about buying a watch or clock from the vendor?

It's strange though, that on the map page, the time is in hundreds, like the time is 16 hundred, but my husband asked me to meet at 7pm...which would be 1900. This should be an option in custom menu, as should the temp should be optional for fahrenheit, or celsious. Just a QOL thing.
