In Game Clock?
Hi All,

Is there a plan to implement an In-Game Clock that can be toggled? It would be nice to see what time of day it is without having to navigate to the Map screen (I use a controller) I guess we can just hit the Map Hot-Key?
Thanks!

There is plenty of room on the screen to place small in-game and real-time digital clocks.

But please only with the option that you can turn it off. I love that I have so much room on the screen!

Face South. If your shadow is to your left, it's morning. If it's to your right, it's after noon. At night, I usually just sleep so no need to keep time that way.

You may mean the opposite?
Facing south: shadow left = evening, shadow right = morning. (Northern hemisphere)
But you're right. honestly for me its enought to do a short check at the sky/shadows.
And when its night/raining, just hit the default map key.

Edit:
Just my 2 cent :)

Yeah, I got the whole sun position thing - thanks! I was talking about a clock.

It's no biggie. Most games have that. I can press M on the KB. No worries. Just a suggestion...QOL-Thing. :-)

If you're the type of player, you could build yoursef a Sundial with a spear and stones.
But I seet it may would be more convenient having a clock on the HUD. :)

There is already a game clock in the game and it shows what time it is and what season it is, if you look at the top Left it is 7:00am on the first day of whatever season, if its towards the right its 2300 or 11:00pm on the 3 day the last of the season, if you want to know the exact time look at the map. If you have a higher season than the display shows the number of days of each season. Anyways the noon straight up and down trick only works in certain places at the right time of year, angle of the Sun and the Earth does effect the noon day shadow a bit. In the summer time Noon shadow is none existent, but Winter time here shadow is tilted towards the north as the sun is further south.

As I said, it is supposed to be optional. Most games have it, that's true. unfortunately, most games have the screen full of HUD icons and overlays. Like stickers on an album and your eyes wander from icon to icon and don't pay attention to the environment. I don't mind that, but please make it optional.

Sundial...I like it!

fi you open the map you will see at the top the time of day based on a 24 hour clock right before the name and titel of the king
I think time fixation is a much more modern phenomena. I'm totally happy to get my cues from the light.
Digital display of time on the main screen eliminates some clickbait.

You only have to press "M" once. It's not like you have to type a 100 letter command.
You are right, and I have always understood that. Having a time display on the main screen would save that step for me and many others who would like to have it.

The time display could be very small and unobtrusive to the purist player.

additional thought: the H key hides the HUD/UI for screenshots, so what's the beef
