how do i make these? can't seem to find it

Go to one of the farmer vendors and buy some flax seed. Plant in Spring and harvest in summer. This will give you Flax. Then take to barn and williwap it on the floor in the barn. This will create seeds and stalks.

First you plant flax seeds in spring, which gets you "flax" when harvested.

In the barn, you can use the area with seeds on the ground to turn those into flax seeds and flax stalks (you get one of each per flax).
The barn workers can also be asigned to do this.

The flax stalks can then be used in the sewing hut to make linen threads.
