My hunters aren't hunting?

So I started a new game and changed locations for my village. The area I had didnt have much wildlife around and I assigned my hunters. Yes, i also have a food storage. For some reason the hunters were hunting but no meat ever showed up in the bin. the gatherers work just fine. I thought that maybe there just wasnt enough animals for them to hunt, so I moved the village to a spot with plently game. still nothing though.

This a new glitch??????

do you have knives in your resource storage? hunters need them to butcher meat and skin animals for fur and leather

check your knives in the storage, your hunter need a lot of them for hunting. And check your managment tab from the hunter lodge, what if choose to do. In the managment tab you can see what for tools and how many they need per work step.

The hunt animation is only for ambience. That´s nothing have to do with the real production. No worry, that there aren´t enough wild life, all of your workers except the fieldworkers and craftmen produce out of air at work time.

I got a resident hunter and he is standing next to the hunter lodge. I killed 4 deer and a wolf next to the resident hunter. The wolf was eyeing the resident. The deer walked by him. I check the chest inside hunter lodge and no meat. Not sure what to do. Feeding a hunter to do nothing. His hunter statue is a 3. Got bow and arrows, knifes, spears in the chest, even an axe, just no meat.

The meat will go to the food storage first. It ends up in the chest of the hunting lodge only when the storage is full.

Knives is what he needs. Did you set up the production in the menu of the hunting lodge?

your hunter only need knifes. And you can put it in the ressource storage. If you have a food storage he put all meat there. You never need with ressource and food storage to use other storages as them both.
And do you have set the settings in the management tab to say him what he should do?
The animation of your workers have nothing to do with the real production (except your fieldworkers).

Check it:
1) Hunter is satified? Home, food, drinks, firewood
2) Just knifes in a Resource-Storage somewhere on the map?
3) Food-Storage builded?
4) Production for Hunter-Lodge set in Management?

Then it should work now. Your Hunter will take the knifes from there by magic, even all across the map. He will also put fur and leather in your RS, and the meat in the FS. Just by the same magic. And he will produce, even if he graphically does nothing.

I have 3 hunters in my hunting lodge lvl 2 but there doesn't seem to be an animation. They stand inside and 2 lean up against wall and the other sweeps all day. All keep complaining about needing work. But. I do have them working. Total work intensity is at 100% and they have plenty of knives in storage. They are providing me meat and dried meat...thats not a problem..but..I kind of expected them to be out actually doing something and not asking me all day that they need something to do. Lol. The resources are working. Just curious if they will ever actually have a animation like the hunters at Klonica. Anyhow loving the game. Thank you DEVs for such a awesome game. 💛

Also, check the other types of food you have in your food storage. If plain meat is the best thing your folks have, they are going to eat it right away.
You want to put roasted meat at least in it, so the raw meat can pile up
