But I'll check out the video since ya suggested it 8-)
I can't give you an overview screenshot of my set up because there is no mountain or hill in sight of my village. I can only give you an impression of my 18 year old village south-west of Branica. I'm someone who likes to make pretty villages so for me it's beauty over function. having said that, every single one of my villagers is very happy, well watered and fed and I'm rolling around in cash.

*edit to add* I was sort of inspired by the planning sketches in this article which is an interesting read. https://leidenmedievalistsblog.nl/articles/why-medieval-city-builder-video-games-are-historically-inaccurate
She loves this game as much as I do and invested a lot of time and effort helping players and devs.
The OP already agreed to watch the Youtube vid you plugged, so what else are you trying to sell? ;p
Kinda my point though. Adding content of a positive nature to YouTube, and not to the forums/communication of the game. Is a type of free advertising that tends to promote and drive YouTube more (which there's nothing wrong with) than the actual games. You come on these type of forums, you only see a lot of complaints and negatives and all the "good" stuff is on a YouTube video. Um, yeah.....
I'm kinda formulating a split community type deal. Housing all my crafters with other crafters, farmers with farmers, and then a mix of escavaters, loggers, and miners. Then having hunters with other hunters or fishers. This way they are more specialized, and their children will come out with better stats when they are born.
Also thinking during my next town expansion thing, splitting the community. A mining area by the cave between those Ba/Bra towns, and then all the farmers and barns to the south of there on the other side of the hill nearer the water, so I can also set up for Fishing.
Will be interesting, and with shared storage of the food/resource sheds, think I can manage. Will see, heh.
Your pictures are great Millenia, but is there no way to get a distant panoramic shot? Might take clearing some trees so they aren't in the way of a picture, but heh. With saves, doable.
I omce split up all my buildings into 4 mini villages, that were all over the map. Pretty fun.
My longest save is at the are where Goldi has her amoeba village I think. It has flat area at both sides of the stream, one half I used for farming. At the other half I created the village with houses in a wide circle and in the middle of that village where my farm animals.

Been a mod myself for a long time(well maybe not that long, Nov last year in discord, but it feels long xD)and language can be a real barrier for what you're trying to explain(I'm not a native English speaker)
Goldi made tutorials for this reason. Not for promotion, but to explain stuff, to show how it's done.
I love the idea of this threat. As mods and bug hunters we get to see many amazing player villages. It always surprises me to see what people can come up with. Despite the still limited amount of placable items and the complete buildings almost none look the same.
My most recent one is this. West of Hornica, just before the lake there: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2518692418

Well, it gives you a comparison for the before and after pictures 8-). How it started, what it was in the middle, and finally what it became as a finished setting. That's as much for you as it is for anyone else, but I still enjoy seeing 'em.
As for GoldiRie, I agree with your sentiments. I like those pictures a lot more. A bit more spread and not all bulked up so you can move around. Looks great in my opinion.
I have seen Goldie villages but I cannot find any picture or video of Rose villages to make a comparation
My old home (the last village in the video) just grew organically over many years. Even though it is in the mountains and even with a free cam, it would be hard to take a screenshot with all of it on it. Landscaping between updates ruined some plans, made it necessary to rebuild. I have a burried barn and house in that village. That's impossible to build by yourself, but it makes it even more "mine". My geese were burried as well and that happened during a time when I had hardware problems and could not play. So a friend jumped in and saved my geese before the update went from beta to regular. :)
I think that's the best way to go. Maybe plan a little, but grow slowly and adjust when needed. But, in the end, everybody has their own way. I don't believe there is a perfect way to build for all of us. Just one that's perfect for you.
PS: I would like to see Rose's villages, too. :D
