From the few iron tools I have used so far, they seem to break as fast as the bronze ones. I think iron should be pretty much impervious to wear since it is the highest tier in the game.
Good craftsmen, hunters and so on take care of their tools.
+1
I hear what you guys are saying - But you realize that '1930's knife' is
even closer to our time than it is to the time in this game? By centuries...
400-500 years of technique and Science to make that 1930's knife diff from the ones we are making in game. And I'm betting it's not Pig Iron?
We are not making good Iron. It suuuuuuucks compared to what we think of "Iron" in our lives. This time period's Iron behaves closer to Lead than what we think of as Iron.
Not taking a stance on the exact in-game relationship on wear between the types. I assume the ratio is purely driven by game mechanics and balance - not historical wear data.
I agree that skill should reduce wear.
Giving informations and pushing people to use their brain. I'm not calling names, but having to do the job while eyes should be enough bothers me alot : it's like if the UI guys at the office did NOTHING to make the game a bit transparent as to what do what, while it's NOT the case, these are very basic topics and shouldn't fill the forums. IMO, that's why we can't have nice things, too much time taken to cater to people who don't even try. I'm tired of it.
They only get wood and stone tools.
i'm sure a lot of us knows about that tab i use it a lot good way to keep ahead of the demand i also know a brand new iron hoe should last longer than a day and that was on a 10x10 field
