What do these symbols?

I marked a couple of pigs and chickens for sale and now I have some red symbols next to 1 pig for sale and 1 hen not for sale in the animal management tab. I also have symbols up in the top left hand corner that I don't recall seeing before.

The animals have food, there is an animal breeder assigned to each, the building are in good repair but they are full of animals which is the reason I'm selling a couple of each.

The symbols in the animal management tab are
a barn (I think) and a chicken leg both are red

The symbols in the top left are
a barn and a a seed bag with a stalk of wheat(?) underneath it. Both are white
underneath both of theses is the number 2 and something that could be a cow and these are red.

What do all these symbols mean please?

Little House means: no home
Drumstick means: no food

Looks like you didn't hold the button long enough and kicked the animal out of his/her home instead of marking it for sale

They're indications that the animals aren't house and fed, I think? There's a limit to the adults that can be house in one building.

Thanks seems I need to go find a couple of homeless animals. I assume I can find them and put them back where they belong.

Update:

All homeless animals have been found and are now safe and sound in the appropriate animal house. They were a little cold and hungry but I have instructed their keepers to pay them a little bit more attention over the next couple of days.

Postscript:

It might be nice if the sell and kick the animals out buttons were separate buttons.
