Getting stuck in place!
Every time I come back into the game after starting one, I can't move WSAD. I can jump but just can't move from my spot. I have to start a new game. Verified files Okay. Checked keymapping and even tried changing them. Noting is working.

Not carrying too much, either? It allows you to jump just fine, but after a certain amount won't allow you to walk any longer.

Oh, that sounds reasonable. I chopped wood until I dropped.Could be my issue entirely.
Thanks!

You wouldn't be the first. I hope this is the reason. If you still have the save and can load it to check, let us know when you do. :)

Just look at your inventory weight. If it's over 50 it will be red and you can't move, if between 35 and 49 will be yellow and you will go slower depending on how much over 35 you are. I had the same problem my first game too.

The overweight system is a bit different here. Instead of just getting a debuff that reduces your speed by X once you are overweight, you gradually lose speed.

Assuming you did not take the perk to add 5 KG to max carry capacity, at 35.1 KG you will lose the ability to spring but will run more or less at the same speed. As you carry more you will get slower and slower until you are unable to move at all. There is a popup tutorial message that should tell you this and there is an icon at the lower left corner next to your HP etc. once you are going overweight.

Could be worse. Every time I start my game up I have to go into the load menu and manually select a save game to load from. If I use the continue option from the menu i get a newly created savefile that has me in a perpetual falling state and reverted to year one in the winter with no winter clothing on my body. If i somehow survive the long fall I still die due to exposure and restart in year 1 with no home and no quest items. I have also experienced similar to you but usually when I was standing to close to an object and got "stuck" on that object itself. Happened with trees, sheep (many times), even the barn workbench once. I was not overweight any of those times. Unstuck usually fixed it.

It was the fact I was over weight. I did not see the weight on the inventory screen until you mentioned it. I dumped everything to get me under what I could carry and I was able to walk again. Thanks!
