I would believe you down clock your CPU?
Did you use Thermal Grizzly Aeronaut Thermal Grease? Or their lineup?
What I've also known is that some player that has their GPU manually overclock is not running the game smoothly as well.
Just a joke here, lol...don't run the game as a benchmark.
Hi,
i just leftclick on the battery symbol in the system tray and choose the "Save energy option".
It's in german, so i don't know how it's translated in english. I can choose between "Energy save" / "moderate" and "best performance".
In the advanced settings it's definded with which CPU setttings this modes work. I know, that it's possible to set the min. and max. CPU clock, but i didn't change this settings.
With the energy save mode or the fan control at maximum the CPU stays under 80° Celsius and mostly about 3 Ghz. With the moderate setting, it raise up to 83° celsius.
Then i can see in my "ROG Gaming Center" tool, how the CPU clock will be reduced from around 3Ghz to about 2 Ghz until the temperature goes under 81°.
During the gaming, i can see that the lagging comes about every 3 seconds.
With the fan control at maximum "or" the energy saving option, i can avoid this problem.
The game is GPU bound. It plays at 100% GPU usage. You probably could, if you really wanted, set up a manual profile with NVIDIA Control Panel.
The real question is.. Why do you think you need more than 50fps?
hi jhughes
i agree, this discussion start with a complain, that the game is unplayable. In my opinion this means, that the fps drop under 20-25 fps.
GTX 660ti .... intel core i5 4670 16g ddr3 666... 130 hours plus in game
Then again, I would not say no to 60fps, since game should be running of a minimum 60fps and not any lower than 60fps, but that's just my opinion. For all games as a minimum. Meaning the target fps should be much higher than 60fps, so when the frame drop at certain point in the game it should hit at least 60fps and not 59fps, yes number matters for some case.
This is just a nit pick here. Then again, no one can do anything once a game was running on console like PS4/PS5/XBOX for example when the frame drop lower than 60fps (59fps or lower), because the limitation of the console it self. Which may involve hardware limitation due to cost for sell.
What I would suggest for Youtube, is to reconvert your video with Adobe Premiere CC or similar to boost it's frame higher to match for each video, and yes it is a hustle or gonna be annoying each video needs to be adjusted.
Otherwise just ignore it and upload as is. Mind you this game is not for Youtube intended. Well all game that is. Only influencer/maybe for entertainment purpose/financial decided to use it to record game and upload it. Complaining the fps drop for this case would not be useful nor helping. Which it is understandable. Again, it is not intended for Youtube.
On top of it, all your setup and hardware settings and what platform you use may have their own format, for example, Youtube 4K format is not the same as TV (normal 4K) format. So you need to improvised and adjust.
No one here knows which programs you are running or, for the matter, which ones you closed that ended up solving the issue. I don't think that starting a guessing game will help. You will have to be more precise and/or start investigating yourself.
Are you trying to say that only shooter games can be viable on YouTube. So any other game should just never be streamed or recorded? That is a really narrow minded thought process and would make for a VERY boring set of choices for our viewers to watch.
The 60 FPS is not for the shooting but for a smooth render and helps people that "see" this kind of hiccup and it can cause headraces or worse for them. I try to always rec at 60 FPS to provide the best video quality that I can.
For you do dismiss this title as NOT for YouTube would deny the developers a valuable source of exposure for people that do not like twitch. I for one would never have bought the game unless the YouTubers I trust had not shown that it ran very well (before the latest set of patches) and was really fun.
You are entitled to your opinion but I for one to not agree this this game is not for YouTube. It most defiantly is viable on YouTube.
I'm pretty sure that the point is that FPS are of greater importance for shooters than for this kind of game. That is, for the person who is playing them. Games are, first of all, made for playing them, not for recording. I agree with that line of thought, if I understand RZG correctly here. This is not meant to devalue the attempt of sharing the experience or the hard work it can be to generate good content with it, it is simply a matter of priority and responsibility. First of all games are made to be played. Recording and sharing them necessarily comes after that and much of the work related to this is simply not the developer's priority or even responsibilty. Additionally to that, early access games especially are known for being not as well balanced as they could be. Hence, by nature not as youtube or streaming friendly.
Yes it will be very boring, etc.. That's your Youtube channel, it's practically your job description to make an adjustment, not for all developer, they do not work for Youtube.
It is everyone else who decide to use Youtube, so no point complaining or demanding for developer, of course I am sure they will do what they can to optimized their game as best as they can, it is not a promise.
Another option is not record/stream the game, like any other famous Youtuber ESO, he don't do that as far as I can see. Instead he play other games and stream that instead.
I know what 60fps, I've used to upload and record and convert video too, that's what I am saying being a nit pick of minimum of 60fps. I agree.
Lastly, I do not say I do not agree or agree, also, I don't say this game only, I'd say all game.
It is individual decision to use Youtube or Twich or whatever, no one is stopping you.
If you not happy go and complain, I'm just saying it will not help to complain, what I say is developer will optimized their game to best they can, this is what I'm saying. So, when the next patch or future patch can make Youtube experience better it is good, if not that's all you get.
End of story. After this point still demanding for developer to make it better for Youtube/Twich/whatever only making developer annoyed when they did what the game can go to. But hey, just wait and see how it goes shall we. Fingers cross it will be better. I would be happy too to watch a good Youtube quality video.
Or you can use this:
IObit Uninstaller
https://www.iobit.com/en/advanceduninstaller.php
No need to pay just use it as free. It's more powerful uninstaller than Windows 10.
It will remove it from your registry, etc.. Read the website before you use. If you want.
