Night Hunt Kill 6 wolves, boars or bears

The first time I did this quest I was lucky and got all the kills. But I've got the quest again and for the life of me I can't find all animals even in the area where I first did this quest. Sometimes I find 4 and max 5 but then daylight comes and I fail the quest. The spawns are way too far and separate. I have redone this quest probably 12 times now & not once did i get all kills. Did they messed up the spawns? If not we need more spawns for wolves, and boars.

If you travel up the path (N) towards Sambor the hunter's cottage at night time, just past the broken fence there are wolves just off to the left. If you don't find them, they will find you. There are boars around the lake near there & 2-3 bears NE of his cottage towards the river. It's always worked for me.

There are a lot of boars and wolf in this area. You will finish the quest fast here - the boars in the swamp respawn fast as do the wolfs by Sandors camp and down the path.Also a lot of fox and deer.

I have never seen my two bears sleep in winter. However, should you have built a mine at their cave they will stop spawning there. Also, they tend to climb around in the rocks. It's easy to miss them when they do that.

I've seen Bear in my game in all season, unless dev change it and I've outdated.

While bears in this so called real life hibernate, they don't do so in this game (yet). They are very much not asleep.

Also, you don't have to wait for the quest to "start" , boar/wolf/bear hunted while the quest is at "wait until the next evening" count.
So as soon as you take the quest you can start killing (but you don't know how many you'll have to hunt).
You have the whole season to do the quest, so just don't accept it at the end of the season.
Max number I had to kill was 11.

EDIT just got one with 13 to kill, I guess it goes up every time you get it ?

I think this is the third time I've checked on them in winter, because someone claimed that or wondered if they sleep ... I'm officially paranoid when it comes to my bears.

Anyway, I don't think that time, be it season or time of day, matters to animal spawns at the moment. That might change later, but so far I haven't noticed any differences.

I did notice that there is no Bear spawn at the very North of the official map (it kept returning me to the map and can't move onward north way), also, the Bear spawn on the top right corner of the map, near Sambor location, it is not Bear that was spawn, instead of 2 Whisent. But the Deer spawn was correct, I've confirm it. I just remember maybe I have not done all the Bear spawn, only the most common place are. It turns out there two location that they are not exactly spawn in.

Update:
So, I've update the official map, I call it modify in my guide, and not call it fix, since dev should call it that, or maybe they will fix it in the future patch, I've replace the official map with the Whisent on top of the Bear spawn since I've found in my game it was Whisent that was spawn and not Bear, near the Sambor location, top right corner.

Yes north of the cave of Baranica & Branica. I try to find them, in this Patch v0.1.2.4, the Bear is not there while I'm in the start of Summer.

How do you hunt? Are you just sneaking around one spawn point the whole night?
You can easy travel from Hornica, over Jernica, Denica, Barnica to Sambor in one night, on that way you should at least find 2 wolfpacks and 2 boars.

Its only a little harder if you kill the wolves already befor you accept the quest

I literally ran into him once, not expecting him at all, right outside the village. I think that was even after the last update. Still, couldn't find him when I went looking for him today.

I may have found your Sambor bears (After searching for them for several seasons, including winter. Oddly enough. I could even watch them attack one of their own. So, maybe they share a spawnpoint with the wisent and it alternates?):

North of Jezerica there's that path through the mountains, and only recently I discovered there's a cave. However, that was the bear I always went for when I was supposed to find a bear. A few days ago I searched for him but he wasn't there.

I also think that bears might leave if you build a mine. I had a mine next to Branica for the longest time, so maybe I never came across a bear because of that. The two bears where I have my mine now (kindof in the middle of the map) also disappeared.

Yes, animals stop spawning when you build near their spawnpoint.
