Destroying rocks in your game
Is there a way to destroy the rocks that can sometimes be along the lines of where you want to put a building in your village? The ones that you can mine with a pickaxe?

You could try putting down a field first to clear the area, then destroy the field and place the building

No. You can't place a building or destroy a resource node.

I tried putting down a field, but alas it doesn't take away the rock node. I thought it might have not been possible but wanted to confirm. Thanks guys.

just a thought, how about using the shovel on it like you do with a tree stump? Mine it first maybe then try that?

That would be nice, but no, grandpa is right, you cannot remove deposits at the moment.

I build a house foundation where it is rocky which I then erase. I lose 8 (or is it 6 for the small house) logs but at least the stones disappear. Hope we can use our pickaxe on those rocks soon.

That's what I was trying to do was build a couple of houses and the rocks would impede my doing so. Is there a certain way you are doing it?

@Mweb I thought I've tried using a shovel on them but possibly not. I'll have to check on that.

Position the house so that you can see most of the stones inside the blueprint, then move it carefully back or in any direction you want so it turns green. It looks like you won't get rid of so many stones, but quite a few disappear in front of the house as well.
Save before you try so you can reload if it does not become perfect.

Ahh ok, didn't think if I moved it or changed positions it would matter at all. I'll give that a try.

Hey everyone, after trying different things I have found out if you build a dirt road around the rocks and boulders they disappear! And then you can destroy the dirt roads, the various grasses and bushes etc come back but the boulders don’t!

It's a helpful tip and works indeed for normal rocks and boulders, but not for the ones that you can mine, which was the original question.
