free standing torches

I tried out something i was hoping would work but sadly it did not with the new freestanding torches from the last big patch i thought presto no more darkness inside the houses at night so i tried to place one inside a house but sadly it remained (Red) so it can't be done.

we need to have lighting in our houses to give it that warm feeling inside also we need wooden operating window shutters that NPCs open in the morning when they wake up and close at night when they sleep for the night so to stay warm during the late night hours when it gets colder.

I would like to see more furnature for inside the houses and better beds and wall torches if anyone agrees with this post please say so or dislikes this idea then say so and why.

I like the idea of interior lighting, though these ones were clearly meant specificly for exterior. You could always light the fires inside the houses for light currently, it would be nice if our villagers did that themselves though

yes i agree with that as it is only normal for a human to light a fire inside a house at night to keep house warm inside after all wood was plentiful and could burn all night

we just have to hope they add wall torches for inside of house also things to hang on the walls such as trophie heads of animals such as deer or wild boar a few paintings if you get my idea and a bookcase table and chairs a few floor rugs it needs to look homely i also think the beds would look nicer if a bit higher off the ground as i hate creepy crawlies lol

They would have used a tapir (a pine or softwood shard that you burned) witch was smoky, a tallow lamp (melted animal fat with a wick), or if they were rich a candle. But most commoners went to bed a night and got up with the sun.
Tallow lamps would work the best in this game context and would be nice.

They don’t activate the stoves yet it cost me over 1500 fire wood a year lol

Yes back then they were made from animal fat (or bees wax if you were rich )

Candles were only used by the noble classes or in churches (except in movies). But it would be in keeping with the game.
