Flax Stalks?

So from everything I've read, Flax Stalks can be made on the Barn Floor thing, but the only options there are seeds? Am I missing something?

You beat Flax to get seeds and stalks. Stalks can be sold or turned in to linen thread

So it gives you both when you beat it? Because only the option there is to make the seeds.

Yes you get both one flax gives you the seed and one flax stalk
