How to decorate your village: tiny but fine ideas
You want to bring a liitle bit decorations and feeling of life in your village?
Here are some tips:

-Use the assets, they are beautiful. Shoes, wool and bags for beds and houses and many more

- use fences to make backyards and decorate that yards with little details

-think about ways before building, use little fences to help you get 90° angles and things like this. you can destroy that fences later. To remember a point temporally, use a spear

-boards. boards. boards. They are useful in so many ways, check the pictures for ideas

where did you get the clay pottery shown in the tavern? Is that beta only? If not, what item?

Yes, this should be a thing... Ground clearing.

Thank you all. Me and my girlfriend doing this together. Our inspiration is the real world, the medieval dynasty villages and tons of RPGs. At least, if you just began, the result will be beautiful, because you will make the same mistakes which are the reasons for confusing streets and buildings in real citys. Thats a real big point.

We also play a lot of Citys:Skylines and Anno, so we know what citys should look like^^.

I accepted a challenge in an other thread (about the bridge). Challenge is: Build a big Bridgre over the river. So i began:

Its beta only. I recommend full to use the beta. Its savegame compatible.

No way to get that at the moment. I hardly expect that for a update.

We used the existing ways and good brown spots^^. Temporally (for screenshots) you can use a campfire. Any tier works fine. Build and destroy whereever you want these dirt-road look. Its season compatible, but will removed after loading the game.

I want to know this too! I am playing in the beta now and I can't figure out how to find/make any of the pottery or the baskets shown in many of those screenshots. I'd love to know how!

You can steal it in gostovia (e.g.), the tables outside the tavern. Later we will craft them.

Thanks^^

Use farm plots to make paths and roads. Just hoe it quickly if you have a field worker and make sure to not assign a crop.

We can make a 1x16 (thin long path) or larger, but unfortunately you cannot place farm plots adjacent to each other so it leaves a gap of 1 meter. That gap can contain "something" to fool our perception and sometime a washtub at every corner of the paths helps to remove the grass and provide a little hint to our villagers ... :P

EDIT: .... There's a 'Burger Joint' at every corner, but it's not their because we love cheap burgers, it's there to cover up the waste under the ground caused by the old petrol station. :steammocking:

Pottery as well! Will go steal everything one night and decorate my village - it feels too empty with no furniture etc.

This solution is temporally, like this with a campfire. After reloading the game, the changes where gone.

You can also clear a pathway by placing down a washtub and then deleting it. This leaves a clear pathway space. No farmer trying to plant it because it is listed as a farm plot either. Just another option for you to think about.
