House wood roof bug

I tried using the middle "wood roof" option for a stone house. I was unable to complete a rear roof because it pulled back from the wall and is inaccessible for my building hammer. I can't get it from below because of the attic.
So I guess wood roofs are out for houses then. Maybe work for simple house where there is no attic.

I was able to make the 2 types of wood roofs, try from the outside maybe?

Try building it from outside, jumping sometimes helps to get high enough, although it is really anoying. Have had that once, too.
And to be honsest, since I know what advantage a wood tile roof has, I don´t build anything else anymore.
My first house for myself (in my newest save) was already full stone with wood tile roof :)

I tried outside and from every angle. Even tried jumping to see if I could reach it. Nope.

Did you make wood roof for House or Simple House? The House has the attic.

The small house doesn't have an attic the simple and house has one, it was for the simple stone house not the small one.

Can you destroy the attic? If you can you might be able to reach the roof. Worse case scenario, tear it all down & build again.

The attic seems pretty pointless and wasted, i wish we could climb upto the attic, it could also have had storage chests or an extra 2 beds up there

I just encountered this glitch too. My work around was to build a segment of stone fence right next to the house. Then I climbed up on the fence and was easily able to complete the construction.
