I need help with finding reed

where it says it should be at, there is none... I've check 3 rivers and a lake, help?

Try river along Gostovia. It will quiet sometime to find them if you are still new to the game.

Reed = Straw. Found along the riverbank.
Hold "E" when collecting them.

They are the tiny shrubs between the larger cattails. Usually, where there are cattails there is reed. Later you can get straw from threshing grain.

I just add Reed Location Map in my Guide if you still struggle to find Reed.
Under Basic Material section.

i discovered these early on and spent a day collecting all of them.. i'm glad i did too saved my butt through the winter yarr XD

So reed does not grow/spawn on Winter :)

uh ya it did i believe

but i built away from the river and as fate would have it when winter first hit i died almost immediately XD
But on the reload I was sure to carry around some torches :P I thought I could warm up at people's homes and that didn't seem to work so I ran across the river to the fire and that didn't work so then I died not having the resource on me at that moment lol

Ouch, well we all got to learn at some point lol... I would suggest to do Uniegost Main Quest, he should give you 2 winter garment in order to survive winter. Don't sell it, wear it right away so you won't forget.

I just confirm reed does grow in Winter, most resources re-spawn when the season change.
