Days per Season
Hi all.
After some playing around, i found a location which i liked. 3 days per season was going to fast for me so i increased it. Stupid me set it to 31 days. I try find a solution to edit the save file but the things i found on the web does not work anymore. Anyone did change it lately?

You can't change after you set it, but any day after 3 you can choose to "sleep until next season", so you can just end your season after the number of days you want.

if you use the option "sleep until next season" the current season ended also for your villager. No production, no wood/food/water need. Its just as you had choice at the start this day amount per season.

You can skip to the next season anytime by using the bed in your house. So you can set it to 31 days, and when you want to move on, just use the skip to next season option.

I play 5 days per season but i think i would prefer 7 days per season.

But if we can edit save file, i'm also interested.
So that's how “sleep until next season” works. I've been playing three-day seasons and wanted on several occasions to advance to the next season early, but the command didn't work, and now I know why.

I've found that with normal settings 3 days is not enough time to do all you want and the quests. 4 days is better but slow. If you change settings at the beginning to batch crafting and eliminate stamina restrictions (so you can run all the time) 3 days works great.

if your save has the default 3 day season you can't change it in the save file, but if you started the game with a modified season length you can change it with a save editor as it has the text line needed to edit, default doesn't.

use this site.. just drag your save onto it and change what you want then download it.

http://www.saveeditonline.com/

Make a backup of the save before hand.. line you're looking for is DaysPerSeason :(X)

(X) will be the number of days per season.

Just a thought. Betting that using this little tool voids customer support.

Just one more addition to what has already been said. Even if you set a 4+ day season you will not be able to sleep until next season before 3 in game days. 3 days per season is the minimum.

As with any editor and/or mod, something breaks don't cry to the game developers

Thanks. Yeah, we will not cry to the dev if something wrong is happening to our savegame, don't worry. :)

Hmm ... so I guess it's best to just set the season to 31 days. Do everything you want during the season, plant, harvest, do side quests, etc., and then just sleep off the season.

I agree that three days is just way too short and I can't believe that's the default. I'm doing five now and it seems just a little short. When I restart (just playing kind of a test game now) I was planning to set seasons to seven and leave everything else alone. But, basically having an unlimited season that I just end when I'm ready for the next would be nice. But course I can't realistically end seasons anytime I want, so giving myself seven days seems enough for now and I'd just work with it.

I think than you don't need 31 days. It seem really long. You can set at 10 days if you are not sure to be able to do everything. Seem a better number from my experience in the game.

It doesn't matter if it is 30, 3 or 10
