no assignment

How do I assign farmers to work at the orchard? I assigned them specifically as a farmer at the barn, but the management tab still says 'no assignments'. I don't see a clear option for the orchards or any other field for that matter.

Farmers assignment apparently. They harvest when something is to be harvest in the orchard. Sometimes, i don't even time to harvest before them. :D

Thats probably the reason why it still mentions 'no assignments'. The trees are still saplings. Maybe I have to wait till the trees are mature.

If it is for the barn it refers to the production tab. There are no assignments - nothing for the worker at the barn to produce.

I looked at the crops tab in management. My flax fields have a 'villagers working schedule', but I don't see this tab on the orchard fields.

The message at the barn is for the barn worker, the one who threshes and makes flour.

Only you can plant trees at the orchard. Your NPCs can harvest them.

Ok thanks for your replies. I'll wait till the fruit can be harvested. So the farmers can do their work.

Yes, i believe GoldiRie is right. The message "no assignments" is for the Barn work. Not the fields or orchards.
