Any way to build on a grid?
Was wondering if building grid placement was ever implemented. I'm familiar with all of the tricks like lining yourself up with other buildings and farm plots and using cardinal directions to place things, but I was wondering if something more formal and less janky was ever added.

My biggest obstacle for playing the game is honestly just the building system. Placing a few buildings only to realize that something is just a bit too off the margin of error and thus blocks where I was going to place roads and other constructions, so I need to reload an earlier save because breaking things down to try again even for short periods of time ruins your village and causes everyone to become unhappy and leave, more or less causes me to just quit for the day.

you can make roads in the game, and i suppose you could place your buildings along those roads you made, one guy on Youtube did his own crossroad village, with his own crossroad in the middle, Kage-something, can't remember. but maybe that helps

No, there's no "snap to grid".

I guess you could lay out a grid using farm plots, since they snap to the grid. You'd still have to carefully place the buildings, but using the compass and the Destroy Hammer should make this doable to get close enough.

I think this feature should be added ... an option to make all of your placement into grid or at least can snap like the field ... I really want this in every crafting game

Best way to do it atm is place two fields/orchards, one going north/south and one going east/west. Align your building to that right angle and rotate it slightly, pushing it into that corner until you can't get any closer. Have the "roads" go far beyond the building outline so you can see if its out of alignment when you place the next one.

They should implement a "snap to grid" option.

The snap-to-grid can also have its own frustrations… so if they do implement it I’d like it to come with a turn off snap-to-grid option that you can toggle on/off as required.
