Appreciate the tips but I don't have an issue killing them even with wood equipment. I was just asking for the sake of realism as the devs have put tons of research into the period for this excellent game.
The point of winter is that all living things are either gone or disappear into their wintering holes. So we should have to rely on preparing properly for the winter time to ensure survival.
That is a fair enough point. +1.
