It was pretty cool. Decent loot. Arrows to the face are very effective. I was disappointed that a spear to the crotch wasn't. :)
They do have an agro range and they do stop after a certain point so you can kite them and also limit your pulls. They also block and use ranged weapons. Pretty cool.
Once cleared of bandits, the camp disappeared the next day.

I am actually just west (barely) of the second bridge... I know I have seen them, but now that I need them I can't see them! Are they a seasonal animal?
By the way, the one I found had large wood spike barricades and a fire going. Might make it easier to spot as you roam around.
I have heard that map pack is very inaccurate.
