You mean than you keep 8/10 Milk and 2/10 Soured Milk ? Do you need an empty bucket in your inventory to allow the game to create Soured Milk ?
No, I mean I have around 10 buckets (it was actually 11 buckets that I had) of 10/10 Milk, and on season change up to 2 of them were changing to 10/10 Soured Milk. On my latest test, however, I got a lot more to sour. I put 5 buckets in resource storage, 3 buckets in the food storage, and kept 3 buckets on me. On season change, 2 buckets that were on me soured, 1 of the buckets in the food storage soured, and all 5 buckets in the resource storage soured.
Edit: and my last test was stranger still. Of my 11 buckets of milk, 5 are grouped together, 2 are grouped together, and 4 are separated by themselves. I put the group of 5 in the resource storage, kept the group of 2 on me, and put 1 in each of the food storage, kitchen chest, smith chest, and workshop chest. When season changed, the milk in the kitchen, smith, and workshop chests had disappeared, and I was wondering what the hell happened. The 2 that were on me had soured, the 5 in the resource storage soured. What was crazy was that the food storage had all 4 of the remaining buckets, and they had all soured (and were now grouped).
That makes sense. I would never have considered that.
