Woodshed not producing expected results
Hello everyone.

I don't know if similar players have this issue, but I currently have 5 woodsheds up and running, all being ran by 3 star extractors. They are being fed axes in the resource storage (currently have 40 axes in there.) My problem is that my production says I'm producing 184 sticks/day, and I'm consuming 40 sticks/day (smithy to make tools.) However, my resource storage is constantly running out of sticks. I have the same issue with logs as well, just different numbers. Is there a reason for this? Are the expected production results a lie?

Thanks for any insight on this.

Are they even producing (enough)firewood, if not.... that's what happends with your sticks, they are being used to keep the houses warm

I was having this happen.

But... 5 woodsheds? I am wondering if your issue isnt simply clogged storage. This stuff weighs a lot.

how many residents do you have. My small town is being fed by only 1 woodshed it might take some tinkering but remember they need logs to produce fire wood and planks. the firewood will get used first by your residents.

That might be the issue if you don't have them making firewood then your residents might be burning through all your sticks for heating which would impact your production chains,

Also what are your residents houses made from. I always make the resident houses of stone
the stick houses use the most fuel the stone ones the least same with the roofs the thatch roofs use more heating then the wooden roofs.

Do you have enough firewood? If you're not producing firewood, the villagers will use logs, planks and stick instead. There is a tab in the management page where you have the option to turn off the use of sticks and such as firewood so make sure to forbid their use.

If you have done that already then it's most definitely a bug. To be honest with you in my last save I also felt that my production of logs didn't seem to be as good as it was during alpha, but I just restarted a game because I wasn't happy with my first village placement so I can't check again right now.

Villagers chew through sticks like crazy when you don't have enough firewood. Firewood is also far more efficient than logs/planks for heating homes as well. So, you probably aren't keeping your firewood stock at sufficient levels.

like all other said, no firewood => burn sticks burn. But you can block the sticks for your villager and than they jumped to the next, the logs, if firewood isn´t enough:

The thing I found ironic is now I needed sticks and there werent any ever. Back in beta my village was covered in a layer of stacks of sticks.

I think the resource management screen could be more informative. It just says wood. So yeah I have a lot of wood. But its hard to know when they are out of FIREwood. I just make 100s on the fall and let them use whatever until next year.

I think if you disallow something in the management menu, the management summary page will only show you the values for the allowed resources. So if you disallow sticks/logs/planks, the "wood" stat should just show firewood.
