Quick slot bar question

Hm so... I am sometimes a very confused soul and this is one of those moments... :/

I know that turning off the Hud is the H button, and I do that when I take screenshots.

But today my Quick slot bar disappeared for whatever reason. And I looked in the keybindings and couldn't find anything that neither turns it on or off, and I know it was possible to do in early access but I really for the life of me can't remember which key that is!

Only the quickslot bar? Nothing else? Have you let Steam verify your files already?

You mean click mouse wheel?

It will pop up a hud in which you can quickly pick one of the assigned weapons/tools

That's not quite the wheel I meant, though, but it is better than nothing xD

What I mean is the bar in the bottom of the screen, the one we see when we are in the inventory and can equip tools to specific slots.
That used to be on the screen too, right? I mean I am pretty sure it used to be xD

I know this post is a couple of years old, but this same thing just happened to me. I thought maybe I accidentally hit a key to make the quick bar (not quick wheel) disappear. I have looked everywhere but have not been able to find it anywhere. Did realize just how much I relied on the bar at the bottom until it was gone. Funny thing is I believe it was there when I first logged into the game. Only did I realize it was gone just a few minutes into playing the game. The bar was there when I played yesterday. I tried reloading and restarting the game. I even loaded a different save, and the bar is still gone. I have pressed every key on the keyboard that is not bound. Nothing seems to work.

Just started playing again and thought that there used to be a bar at the bottom as well. Was it never really there? Did it get removed? Did I do something wrong?

Collective memory problems? :-) I've seen this remark a few times, from different people. But there never was a bar at the bottom... Only in the character screen where you see your inventory you see the bar, or when you click the mouse wheel button, then you see a selection wheel for them.
You can look at youtube videos for the game if you don't believe me; there's no bar anywhere, not even in the really old ones from back when it was still early access.

I played last night. It was there. I logged in today it is gone. It's not just you.......... Edit just looked at a few screenshots I've accidentally taken when cat walks on keyboard and there is no bar at bottom of the screen. But I could have risked my life on it.

It has disappeared for me too, a while ago. I know it used to be there, because it disappeared mid-game and I tried everything to get it back, but it's gone.

Is it possible that at some point during EA there was a bug for some of us where the bar would remain on the screen after closing the Inventory so that we thought it was a bug when it actually worked correctly and disappeared?

No,
a quick slot bar was never(!) implemented in a public accessible build (including beta builds), since the beginning of early access.

The memories are making some stuff up here - nevertheless the known past does not rule the always uncertain future, so maybe one day…
