Stupid moose

Im at the chapter where i have to kill a moose. Needless to say i suck at it 😂 it took 2 seasons to find a moose and he runs way too fast and wiley for me to do anything. Of course i brought my bow but forgot my arrows but have to mine to get any decent ones. Between the scarcity of moose and my own incompetence, i am thinking i may never finish this task 😂

First off do not be discouraged get at least 2 arrows into him and he will bleed out. Trick to keeping up with him is not to sprint behind him. Just keep him in sight. Turn parallel to him when he turns. He will eventually stop running. That is your chance to sneak up and nail him again. He will run again if it is not a kill shot which it may be.
I know for a fact they do eventually bleed out as I did what I described above today and though he got away from me. 20 minutes later I found him dead with my arrow in him. LOL.

Far too fast is an understatement. I shot a cow elk twice in the head with my bow and it went off like a rocket. It's not normal! Maybe I'll find her someday because she dropped dead from exhaustion.
Even the rabbits can get hooked, everyone would turn green with envy in real life.
The hunt was a bit easy in the last phase of Early, but this is absolutely not normal.

tHESE ARE AWESOME TIPS thank you! I am insanely bad at hunting these superpowered animals lol I can kill the small guys but deer and moose....not at all lol I just run away from wisent now LMAO

LMAO!!! I love your story. Im in thee same boat as you. I am TERRIBLE at chasing these things lol They disappear and I can't find them again so I give up on the hunts. Who knew deer were this resilient lol

Apparently, doing non-lethal damage grants the WOUNDED animal a temporary speed buff. /s

I'm at the same stage, need to kill 1 Moose Rocket.
