they grow in summer but i haven't found any anywhere at all, are they in a specific area and i am just missing them?

they grow in open areas and meadows rather than in the forests. You can see them from the purple flowers

tip: herbal vendors in baranica and ronica. The price of herbs is ultra low. I stopped pick them up self or with workers and just buy them.

A bit south of Gostovia--just south past the "Y" of the fork in the road and to the west of the road there--has a small amount of them. Just in case some others, like me, are sticklers for wanting to just pick up herbs themselves! Can't guarantee I'll remember to come back, but I'll add more locations if I notice them.

@TortiTab Yes it is great that your question was answered. I just bought the game a week ago and could not find the Thistle or even where to go looking.
