Durability loss for Villagers
Do the skills that reduce my durability loss also count for my villagers?

... I read that as you thinking the villagers have durability and they'd break into mush after a while :P

I dont think so, try taking a look on the page for whatever they're working at, it should say how much durability it costs per action. That said, I havent bothered checking since I spend every evening crafting 10 of one type of tool, since I cant see.

The Production Tab doesnt show any reduction... But i thought maybe.

Its a little bit annoying how much tools are used by them. I got 21 Buildungs total and three of them are smithys... And they dont produce enough tools.

Hmm. I donno, I dont really have an issue. I just craft a bunch of stone tools by hand (Because it seems like the durability lost is the same no matter what type of tool). 20 is about a year ingame. It'll likely get easier as your crafters level up.

I checked an 50% of my villagers are somehow involved in the tool production. Gathering Wood and Stones and building the tools. Seems a little bit much.
And they are producing just short of the needed amount.

These tool usage really needs to be changed a little bit.

Yeah sure, its easy to do it by hand. But it should be possible to autmate this prozess. With the currend cunsumption of tools, its very hard and its like my whole viallage is just buildung tools.
4 Guys making food and water
3 guys firewood
1 woodshop worker
1 herbalist
and 10 making tools (including wood stone and production)...
doesnt seem right

I think it gets more balanced later on, when you have bronce or iron tools. In my last EA playthrough, I didn't have any problems with producing enough metal-tools.

Seems reasonable.
But getting the mine takes so much Building XP... No hope in getting it fast ;)

I know this is an old topic, but I have the same question on my mind. Does the "durability loss" skill affect your villagers? I think the answer is no, only you personally. I'm experimenting with it, doing some farming along with one villager. She's fertilizing and I'm plowing. I have 2 ticks on farm tool durability, and my hoe is going down by a fraction of a whole point, whereas her bag is still going by whole points (as seen in the building info screen).

It would be nice to make it global to all villagers, because they do WAY more work than I do personally out in the fields and elsewhere. It's almost not worth having since I'm not the one doing most of this work. For this much, I can think of better places to spend my points.

Fortunately, I made a quicksave before this "experiment", so I'm going back to reassign them to something more functional.

By the way, while we're on the topic, do these points I'm spending carry over to my heirs? Or do I need to start all over? Ugh.

You´re right, they doesn´t effect your villagers. The skill describtion pointed it clear if it effect your villager. All of them are in the diplomanty tree.

When you die and come back as your heir you don´t lose your skill progress.
