I would love to see a 3rd person option. I too get sick in 1st person. Just bought the game and not sure if I'll be asking for a refund. :(

If you would properly disable headbobbing/camera shake, it would go a long way to alleviating the issue for people. When I toggled the headbob option off, there was still significant camera shake from starting/stopping movement. And in a game where you're frequently starting and stopping movement while collecting, this quickly leads to problems.

I don't care HOW you fix the problem. But I can tell you, this was the first game I had to refund in YEARS. I couldn't play five minutes without feeling the eye strain from the camera shake.

max out your POV it helps alot it gives a much wider range of view and and cuts down on the head bobbing and motion sickness.

There is an option in settings to turn off the head bobbing. That solved it for me.

Sorry all but I buy a game for the in-game content not the FP/3rdP aspect. Yes 3rd person would be awesome to have but the in-game content is also awesome and that is why I bought this game and will continue to play this game for a long time. Even if they keep the first person view :)

It's not that the 3rd person "would be awesome" - I (and plenty others I'm sure) came here to discussions to look if there was 3rd person before making a buy decision because many people actually cannot play a game that only has 1st person due to 1st person view inducing motion sickness (even with head-bob etc disabled). A quick Google says 50-80% of the population experiences some form of motion sickness- maybe we're not the demographic this developer wants to court, but it would be awesome if we could play great games too, and not be left out because many are 1st person only.

This question has been raised a year ago yet I do not see a 3rd person POV. Maybe the developer never intends to make this game playable in 3rd person. Only few games offer the options where the player can adjust the camera from 1st to 3rd whichever his/her preference. I too experience motion sickness but for the love of this game I only play few hours per day. Now my total play time is 400+ hrs. But I do wish that this beautiful game has an option for 3rd person camera. I want to play this game as mush as I want to without thinking of my health conditions. Even I maxed the setting to 110 FOV and disable head-bob I still cant play this game more than 2 hrs straight.

This is the only 1st person game I played. I do hope that the devs will consider giving us an option to play this game in 3rd person.

+1. I totally has same feeling as you . So there are many games which provide 1st person view only are not my cup of tea. I really hope the 3rd person view will be added in future update. I should buy it when it dream comes true.

Yea I can't play in first person either I was excited when this came up as a suggestion but it won't happen if there is no third person option :-(

I'm OK - I don't get the motion sickness - LOVE this game - Bur - it would be nice to see you character in the clothes you make - now I only see his feet, little bit his pants etc.... Full body view would be nice, since we are after all crafting clothing gear.
