Cold weather clothing.
In the Beta you got a fur hood just for doing the opening quests which was enough to weather the cold winter months, in this I have yet to get one so far. Its now winter and my character is shivering cause its cold, I cant make one for a very long time as the sewing hut has been moved miles down the tech tree. Is their an easy fix for this without spending 700 for a piece of winter clothing? Since stone knives doesnt seem to make good gold anymore im a bit low.

Staying inside, keeping a torch and a fire near will keep you somewhat warm as well. If you are lucky you might even find some clothes and / or money in the world that you can just take. But, in the end, buying something that keeps you warm is the safest way to go.

As you can see stones now in inspector mode I quickly made 40 stone knifes, it was easier than before. I could buy fur boots and some hoodie, backpack and pouch, and also some seeds and fertilizer much easier than before. And that was before I found the 3000 coins.

It's still growing everywhere. You did know how to find it before the update, didn't you?

I ended up roughing the winter out with a torch in hand lol. I found a straw hat which didnt really help but it meant the torch was enough. I made like 60 stone knives over the winter with a torch equipped and sold them all (Just in time for spring) so next winter I should be fine. I assumed we'd get the fur hood again from the normal quest so I kept on doing the main chains trying to get it. Which doesnt give any actual rewards apart from dynasty rep.
Anyway its sorted now.

Yes, you no longer get winter clothes from Uniegost's quests. I'm glad to hear that you made it through the winter regardless.

I saved up a little and bought a fur shoulder-thingy (sorry, I can't remember what it's called, atm) from Matylda. That was enough to get me through the winter. But I stayed home and worked on the village all winter - no long trips that could have me out in the wilderness after dark or when a storm popped up. And, yes, I carried a torch and had a campfire in the middle of the village, as well as my house. I only got dangerously cold once, when I was near the river bank at twilight.

You can buy cold weather clothing from the tailors. If you are lacking the coin, gather stones and sticks, make a large number of stone knives, and sell them to a vendor. You'll soon have all the coin you need for winter clothing.

Just did my first winter in my first attempt at playing. I just ended up making a ton of torches and running around with them in my hand

I kind of like that they removed those rewards, it made winter trivial from the start. Since I like to make everything myself and try to only buy what I can't create (like seeds at the beginning) I just spent the winter with torches too, and I'll be working hard to get my sewing hut before the next winter!

Yeah I guess I just got taken by surprise because I was used to the early access so I based my playthrough on that. Which wasnt the smartest move I'll admit. In anycase I now have warm clothing :D

I was surprised by it too, for the same reason. When winter came, I was concerned. The first time I played, years ago, I froze to death a few times.

You can easily find like 10k gold just on ground traveling so you can buy all clothes you need... But I get it, had same problem and when winter came, almost got to point of no return, got to village offering clothes with like 8 hp left...

do the villagers get fur clothing for winter, or do you have to provided them with fur clothing now?

speaking of using torch in winter to combat the cold.
it is quite strange that the fireplace in your home does not warm you up at all.

i am also going to assume, in order to get the naked winter achievement, we'll have to strip down naked in autumn before sleeping, so as we don't wake up with cloths on and void the achievement before the challenge even begins.
