winter clothing 1.0

I am slowly approaching the first winter and wonder where to get some warm clothes. If I remember correctly, in earlier versions there were some reward clothes in one of the Uniegost quests. Are they still in as a reward? I am at Uniegost V and have not seen them so far. I do not want to spend winter in my home only ^^

It's no longer a quest reward. You can buy clothing from seamstresses and you may even find some in the wild.

no, the uniegost quest is complete changed, the cloth reward is gone. You can buy clothes in denica and baranica (or brancia... not in game atm... the left one ) or make your own.
Or you use the torch. Everytime you get the cold debuff, just use your torch (or any other fire) for a few seconds to warm up.

Is the standing torch generate heat now? When it was first implemented it wasn't.

i didn´t test it in 1.0, but it has been around for a long time to work.

It will take some time before I can test it, I just build my first house. I remember that I was fooling around and misplace my winter cloths and run out of torches, I was hopping that I'll get heat from the standing torch but no heat. I never try after the other updates if it was fix.

okay, standing torches i never tried (and didn´t thought about it). I mean the "hand" torches. They give heat.

My little village is near the two B villages. I'm thinking of calling it Baronica.

NB for those from USA, similar-named towns are common in some places in Europe. On a road trip in Austria I saw both a "Betzau" and "Bitzau" a few miles apart. I asked if there was also a "Butzau" and my friend assured me that was coming up next. ;)

There is a large deserted campsite right in the middle of the map that has a long fur hood. This camp will despawn after the first year. (also has a iron axe)

I always find some in the bandit camp South/East of Rolnica, not far from the lake.

I couldn't get heat from the campfire in villages either. I nearly froze to death one night and had to stay in a barn till it heated up a little the next day and make a run for my home.
