Bag of seeds?

I have the seeds for my field, where do I get a bag and how do I combine them so I can plant?

You can steal a bag or do a little hunting and make one from skin. Equip the bag, right mouse click and select what mode you want (i.e. seed, etc.).

I couldn't plant until after I put down manure but I've seen other players say they could.

You get the first planting without manure, after that you need it.

You craft a bag at the sewing station. You do not need a bag to plant seed by yourself all you need is the sack. You really don't even need a bag for the field workers either.

the planting mechanism is (while equip the sack) right click to select which seed (filtered by season) and the left click to plant in field - if ploughed (post manure once a crop)

Or get villagers to do it (though you still need to stay close and refresh them)

the first time you prepare the soil you don't need manure but if you let the season pass the soil you get "dry" or whatever and you will need manure anyway, so don't make field if you not gonna use it in the same season

the leather one you can slap together with just three leather works fine, just wears out faster

Noting as of a recent patch, you need to manure even on the first planting now.

You spread manure (now much cheaper) like you spread seeds

best to go hunting and make your own, in fact, you can sell them at a tidy profit if you get enough leather, but that may be later when you get a hunting shed and a hunter working to bring a steady supply of leather.

As of a recent update you have to fertilize even the first planting now. Manure has been drasticly reduced in cost but not weight. Still weighs a ton. You should be able to craft a simple bag but make sure you have enough materials to make two of them. The first will most likely break on you prior to completion of your farming task. Look around at your seed dealers as they probably also sell a bag. Put bag into a slot select that number slot to pull up bag. Right click with bag selected. This should bring up a bag options wheel. Note the X's above the selections. These change with each season to show you what seeds you can plant with each season. Very helpful for me as my memory is crap when it comes to this type thing. Simply select what you want to put in your bag and you are good to go for that task. Change option for next task. Have fun farming. The scythe will cut 3 rows at a time some 9 wide is a good selection. Keep in mind how much time you have for working on your field when you decide how big to make it. You earn farming points when fertilizing, hoeing (plowing), and seeding. Don't think you earn any points when harvesting but you get taxed based on your harvest. Hope this helped you some.
