How To Salt Meat?

I have some salt, I have plenty of raw and cooked meat. But I cannot figure out how/where to salt it.
Also, Does anyone know how to get the worker to cook food in the tavern? Do I need to hire somoene for the food storage to move the food over to her?

Salt meat occurs in 2nd level hunting shed. Go into management and on the tabs on the left select the building then select the tavern and press f. You then can select what meals you want the inn keeper to cook.
