Report a translation problem
The hunters don't need to physically find and kill animals, and I suspect they will never do that as it would actually be non-trivial to implement (and introduce a variety of annoying problems). I hope the devs at least make the hunters wander in the woods similar to woodcutters.
I believe you needed a knife in the chest to produce meat and leather before the tool requirements were temporarily disabled. The tools used this way seemed to run out pretty fast btw, just in case there's a dev reading this. Did you need to put in a new tool every day/season or did they just wear out really quickly, didn't notice.
Meat from hunters is ending in the food storage though and also furs go to resouce one
They didn't wear at all. I still have them in the chests. I do know that the more axes you put in the woodcutters chest, the bigger the pile of logs gets (before and after patch). Not sure what that means for production.
