salt
What does one do with salt? I see some recipes use meat, roasted meat, or salted meat. I have salt and meat but i don't see how to combine them. If salt's purpose isn't in game yet that is fine. Just want to make sure before i leave a bunch of salt behind.

Tavern 1 does, second roasted meat choice.

Best use for SALT atm seems to be to just sell it.
Sells well, doesn't take up much space. Salting food is abit inefficient by the time you get the option to do it.

Maybe there are some advanced food recipes that require salted fish/meat?

When I said Tavern I doesn't have it, I meant the Meat + Salt = Salted Meat recipe, not cooking of salted meat like a roasted meat (as you can do from your hut)

There are some recipes that take Meat, Roasted Meat or Salted meat, but realistically why would you waste the salt on Salted Meat if Roast Meat works for the same recipe.

With the durability not dropping whilst food is in pro[er storage (only on person) there isn't the driver to salt/dry meat for longer shelf life, but if there was, it would need to be a lot lower in the tech tree.

An while I'm talking tech tree, I'm assuming most of the breads/cakes etc in Tavern II which all require X buckets of water (???) would be satisfied with the bucket from Cows (5000 farming?)

fishing hut, barrel in the back

Not the tavern... the barrels in the hunting lodge and fishing hut. Please note that I have found no net gain from salting meat and I just dump the salt into a market stall to be sold off.

There are some advanced recipes which call for salted fish and meat.

I actually found great use for salt. Not that salted fish is an exquisit meal, but I had my fisherman salt some of the fish he caught for a few years and he levelled up to 8 in fishing/survival skill. I never had anyone since the game exists who had level 8 in fishing/survival :)
