I know trees respawn after 3 years, but it seems to be harder and harder to find animals. Im not sure if animals respawn

Animals spawn 2 times a day

Yes they Respawn.
Ich killed every bear near my mine. Ran to my village to get a pickaxe about 600m, then came back. Ding, new bear.

They certainly respawn in mine. Trees take a few years like stated above.

maybe mine is just glitched then lol. there was a forest next to my village that had the bison, fox, wolves, and deer but now I cant find any of those unless I travel pretty far

Might be that you placed your building then just exactly on the spawnpoint of these animals? It could disturb or disrupt the spawning of them if that happend... I think...

Building prevents respawn? This was a thing in Conan Exiles and it makes sense, animals wouldn't den near villages.

that sucks.. I wonder if moving the buildings would fix the respawn or if the spawn points are gone for good

Thanks for info!

I think some of stumps in my game already grow back into tree, but the truth is I can't remember when which one cutted down after few years haha.

Trees will grow back after 8 seasons provided you did not dig out the stump. Animal respawns at the start of a new season unless you have placed a building to close to their spawn or, in some cases, if you have deforested the area.

New to the game and set seasons to 5 days. I find Animals spawning both in morning and evening every day. So doubt its seasonal...

What @Sexy Saxman Sergio means 8 season are if you play at 3 days per season, this is why we say 2 years, instead of season :)
Hope this clear things up. But it's true you have to leave the stump, otherwise tree don't grow.

Whoever say tree grow from the branch, it does no. If so I would like to see the proof.
Also, it would mean more than 100 people would mention it as well, not 1 or 2 or 10 even.
Assuming only, but no proof, 2 years are from the dev, unless I was wrong, dev can please come and correct me by all means.

Unless this is changed later on along the patch. So it depends on how old the post are.

Since I actually worked on a Farm growing up, I can promise you Tree's do not grow back if cut down. Those stumps will not recover from that sort of damage, if you need I suppose I could find an Arborist to come and make this point, but it's quite logical to see. Tree's do grow from saplings that have matured on the Forest floor. The simple reason you open the canopy is to allow sunlight in to achieve quicker growth in the Forest. A clogged Forest will wind up dying if it can't get enough sunlight. You need evidence, go study like the rest of us about forestation and the way they are handled. I'm not wasting my time providing links to those things that are quite logical and can easily be found on a Wiki Page.

I'm talking about game, not real life. Also this post might get buried, by that time, no one would care. Tbh, it is not important, again only a game. Please do not take it serious. Also, I got a confirmation already that sapling does not grow, that's that. No point debating about this lol.. Just enjoy the game, finish the game and move on, do not stress lol..

Not all types of Forests need sunlight.
