How to get an heir?

Hey all, having some troubles. There is no dialogue when i talk to my wife about having an heir. How do i get an heir?

It should be under something like "can you help me dear" and then "i think we are ready for a child". dont remember the exact phrasing tho. then you have to wait 3 seasons.

Do it quick after you marry. I think that right now the love drops and the child dialogue disappears after some time. Or maybe my wife is now too old.

Well it doesn't work this way in real life. I told my wife we need to discuss having another kid. She looked me dead in the eye and said we need to discuss me having a vasectomy. Not the way that was supposed to turn out.

As long as you keep your wife happy, you will eventually get the option to talk about having a child. Just make sure there is room in the house and keep checking. It comes up seemingly at random, but it took me almost a full year before she decided she was ready.

check your affection level it has to be really high keep asking her question like how is she doing today and get affection level up,mine had to be at 100 before the question came up

I had to re-roll, then woo a traveler girl not a townie, the option came up in the "can you help me reset my skills" area. after 60 percent on the like meter to get to 80-100 on flirt meter then marry once I had a good house set up and food / firewood. ( Side note got my favorite Streetfighter II character "Blanka" so that should strengthen the bloodlines of my heir).

I found I did things better next go around.
