Three Days Per Season?
Doesn't anyone else think that a season is only 3 days is seriously unrealistic?

I mean that isn't realistic at all. Maybe allow people to change the settings when starting a new game to maybe 7 days or even 30.

Right now as it stands you have to rush around just to get your fields planted, harvest them let alone getting ready for winter.

Why is this game needing to cause the seasons to be so quick?

@Dev: Please tone that down please. At least set it to 14 days. So far I am into my 2nd day, and I'm no where near what I need to have to just survive.

Also, please allow us to take our time in playing the game, to explore, travel at our own pace.

Please try to make it as realistic as possible, and not have us rush around.

I agree. Seasons def need to be longer.

I don't think it has to be set in stone, you should have a choice in the number of days. Ofcourse some quests need to be altered, there is 1 I have were I have to wait untill summer, if you play with 30 days seasons that will be a long wait.

I like the choice idea. 3 is a bit short. To learn the game in that short of time is crazy. Do-able but crazy.

Yeah like "Don't Starve" has options to change each season length and what season you spawn in. I am on my second day and haven't even finished my house because the reed is glitched. I also have noticed the farming is glitching to how can we plant in spring to harvest in Autumn if that's barely a day away? Super annoying. I wish I'd know seasons were only 3 days before buying, I wouldn't have purchased it know that wasn't changeable tbh

I have the feeling the days are pretty long. Of course if you constantly walk from one village to all others the day goes by fast...

Come on. "Rush around," really? You have plenty of time to do everything you need to do in a day. This is coming from someone who hunts, chops, gathers, cooks and builds SOMETHING every day.

There are 12 days per year. it has taken me, so far, about half an hour per day, so that's about 6 hours of gameplay per year, give or take if it continues at this rate. I'll assume not every day will occupy as much of my time, so let me assume that I'll just want to skip ahead when I'm not busy and take it down to about 4 hours per year.

If the character ages and dies at, say, 40 (there are a lot of conflicting statistics on life expectancy, some higher, some much lower, but I'm taking war out of the equation, which tends to drive that number down, because this guy is smart and avoids war), I'm looking at over EIGHTY HOURS for just the first character's life.

How effing long do you want to play this game?

EDIT: This is not to say I don't support adding options to the game, because I ALWAYS support adding options to every game, regardless of how insignificant the option may be, but I think you may be looking at this particular issue the wrong way. If every season in this game was thirty days like you suggest, and you only spent 20 minutes every day, if you played for ten in game years, you'll have played for FOUR HUNDRED HOURS.

Do you plan on playing this game for 400 hours?

I feel days go by to fast and seasons are way to short.

No, there isn't enough time.

When I first started a game I traveled to the first village, and noticed people planting seeds. I went to speak to the first character, and chatted. Turned around walked through the village, and the crop was already up to my knees, and I did absolutely nothing.

@Dev: Please take your cues from games like Your Life is Feudal YO for season lengths.

Yeah they are. Far to short. I'm into my 2nd day, and I have only managed to cut down 4 trees. I had no time to walk around, speak to the town folk, and even explore.

Absolutly right. Days running too fast and the Seasons are too short. There is to low Time, for a good Plan how you build your own Village.

Btw...Hunger and Durst are going too fast down, this Guy is eating more like 2 Pigs, sry but thats true :)

I would definitely like an option for longer seasons. Maybe not 30 days, but longer than what is already in game. Especially since I think days are a bit fast (but then I have a handicap that makes it harder for me to get things done quickly in keyboard controlled games).
Bosli Sep 17, 2020 @ 12:58pm
I think the 3 days per season is chosen well, considering you can totally build your first small house, out of stone, on your first day which would equal to 1 month of the year.

Point is this game isn't allowing you to go about playing it at your own pace.

W.U.R.M Unlimited, LiFYO does this very well as far as seasons are concerned.

Also, how realistic is it if you can have children in this game, and watch your wife give birth in less than 12 days. I mean seriously.

The game as it is now set to the way the seasons are is really pushing people not to enjoy the game but work day in, and day out without rest, without exploration, without anytime to just poke about.

3 Days? No, far to much to fast.

I have been playing these sort of games from WURM Unlimited, LiFYO (just as examples) which treat these things realistically, and makes you feel like you could waste a day or two away fishing.

Maybe it's just me but 3 days just doesn't cut it really.

Way to ignore literally everything of substance and remain willfully closed-minded and bring up an entirely unrelated issue. Are you suggesting crops should take longer to grow or do you want the years to be longer? I'm willing to discuss any issue, no problem, but let's tackle them one at a time.
