Nope, not weird. This game is about a commoner who doesn't want to become a ruler. A peasant. And his daily work and family, the community.
There are enough combat focused games like KCD.
So far, the combat here has been very, VERY mild. Steer clear if you're wanting war, it's not that kind of game.
and the game is advertised as your building a community without a lord or as you as the lord well communities got attacked by people and a people must be able to defend against more than just wildlife
So much truth. I wouldn't mind combat of some type. But just a chill play and craft is perfect for me right now. Only 3hrs in, i'm liking it so far.
Ew recommends two trash games. As others have said Kingdom Come: Deliverance if you want combat
It's wired since peasants would fend off bandit attacks too.
the only weapon allowed was a knife for self defence.
so most of the peasants also uses pitchfork and some other agricultural equipment for self defence.
btw, the "hunting sword" was reserved for the nobles, too.
Where does the dev say this, I couldn't find any info about it on their site or the faqs. If combat is planned as an addition, I'll buy the game.
