How do you find and pick up rocks?

I don't know if my game is bugged but i cannot find rocks...

They just lie on the ground. Sometimes a little hard to find. You can pick them up just like sticks.

A tip - the forest that you start in (follow the path south from Gostovia) has loads of rocks, it's worth taking a trip back there to collect some!

JK, I'm sure you've found rocks by now, but to anyone else searching for this: it does take a few minutes to find them but they're around. Don't bother looking in the village, look around near the woods, off the paths out of town, etc. They're there. While looking for the place to build your first house, keep looking for them and you'll find plenty.

Same here; I can look down at ground textures with rocks on them and nada. About to refund this game.

Rocks can sometimes be a hassle to find. But once you know how they look they're easier to find. Although I do admit that they should give us a pick axe sooner.

You find more rock in the forest (where there is sticks). Not easy at first. I suggest to build a pickaxe as soon as possible.

It's a shame to refund just for a detail ! This game is amazing and well explained ! The polishing is awesome ! You will not refund just for stone ? Just walk, you will find it by searching something else !

I already wasted 20 minutes doing just that; and in a game like this it is a big deal; also ground textures for rocks and pebbles, but not being able to pick up as rocks is just infuriating.

I just think than you really need to give more chance to the game. I find always rock when i don't search for them. Be brave. The game worth to waste time on it.

How can you complain about textures ? The game have beautiful textures ! I never saw a deer like that in other game!

I mean textures that are rocks and pebbles but are not rocks and pebbles that can actually be collected; they are just ground textures.

How do you build a pickaxe? I don't see it in crafting options.

You need to unlock smithy. (Look at the Technology menu in inventory menu)

For the rock, when there is a rock, the walk sound change. You have a "rock" sound happening. I just figure out that. If you heard a "rock" sound, unusual, than, you have find a rock.
