Stupid question, how can i get straw for my roof?

Close to rivers you can find Thypha which you can collect - this can be used for building a roof.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking were reeds, but it turns out it's not them.

It's not the cat tails, but grows in and around them, shorter and green (maybe tannish).

I found them in the very end of the village. Not all cat tails have reed near by

go out of the first village and go down to the water wade into the reed bed pick up the plant it shows as reed but it picks up a different plant this is the stuff for your roof
