So for example, one couple moved in together on the 2nd day of Spring in year 6. The first day of spring in year 8, they were married. If you click on one of the villagers, you will see the other as a family member. Their happiness will also increase, albeit slowly, to an extra 5%.
3 full seasons after they marry (sometimes longer) they will have a child and the mother will stand and hold the baby for 2 years. Once the toddler hits 3 years, they are set loose to wander about the village (usually hang out in the Tavern) and Mom can go back to work.
Hope that helps!
Of course I'm joking.
Cheers! xD
