Large quantities of carrots disappear from food storage?
Somebody else can confirm this? Large quantities of freshly stored carrots disappear from the food storage within a very short time (many carrots per day) without I can find any explanation for this. (Especially when the food storage is slightly overloaded.)

Rabbits, obviously.

No, honestly, people have discussed that villagers seem to eat alphabetically. Carrots are pretty high up. Do you have anything listed in the storage before them?

They ate them... since carrots give verry litle nutrition they ate a lot of them. Same if berrys are on top they munch through em really fast.

I vote to rename Carrots(ID) to Zarrots and Berries(ID) to Zerries. ^_^ I know this is an Early Access and I know that there are 13k users that play this game according to steamcharts ^_^v

Can confirm the alphabetical order. When I changed from German to English language suddenly their most liked food was cabbage (German;Kohl) and not eggs (Eier) anymore

Darn now we need a medieval language to make sure the NPC prioritize the highest food fill value first to the lowest. Rather than name ^_^v

I’d like the medieval language more!
But more than that, let us decide what our villagers eat. Much like in stronghold!

If this is true, cabbage should be consumed first, then carrots. But this is not the case. They do not touch cabbage.

Prepared dishes like soups remain untouched when they can have raw carrots, so it seems.

Anyway, since I only have 3 NPCs yet in my village, the amount of vanishing carrots is just incredible.

So your playing in German? If so rabbits might be the only logical answer.
The order in the foodstorage is changing according to the language and the villagers are always eating the first item first. How many carrots are diaspearing?

Maybe because cabbage is not commonly eaten raw? They don't seem to eat raw meat anymore either, so maybe there is some differentiation taking place already as to what they eat and what they don't touch.

The only answer to this is they don't like cooking. They rather eat raw foods ^_^ except cabbage.

So.. The obvious fix is, eat the thing that provides the highest nutritional value. Sort down from highest value (instead of alphabetical).

thats why I keep as many of my veggies as I can in my house chest to turn into better foods. they still burn through alot of my food stores but right now got so much in food storage that I can safely keep eggs and berries out got enough potage soups and stews to feed an army for over a year, and keeping my eggs in the sack in the hen house till I unlock the tavern 2 then everything I need for breads and cakes going in there.

No. In German "Eintopf" (cabbage stew) comes first of "Karotten" (carrots), they leave the "Eintopf" untouched as long as there are carrots.

Yes!
This is what would be expected according to common sense.

Do we need to put this issue into the "bugs" section separately? The carrot gate needs to be fixed.

Or is the tavern cooking something using carrots?
