Stone Houses?? How?
I've walked around with a hammer on repair after upgrading my house to daub and it's not saying I can upgrade it any further. I do have level 3 Handyman unlocked in the Crafting skill tree. I've seen a bunch of people talking about getting stone houses...How?

You get stone houses in the build option. So destroy a wall with the right click option of the hammer. Then go back to build. Then click on e to edit. Choose the wall type, then the wall material.

LMAO, there are so many finer details to this game... Far more advanced for such an early 'early access' title normally suggests. We are only 2 weeks in, and almost daily patches! Good hunting!

Yeah. So for right now it looks like "Daub" is the "upgrade" to whatever walls you build, providing a very small (I think 2%) happiness upgrade. But you have to build either wood or stone to start, otherwise you need to break down the walls and rebuild them.

There's no difference in happiness going from the first two houses, and the third house (which is a 9x9 footprint, so it's big) is only +2%, so you decide if it's worth it.

It also reduces wood consumption

I only use the 2nd size house after I build my first house. More room for kids, plus you can have 2 adults per house. Yes, this means I can't grow my town until I get my build up, but this 2nd play through, I found this simple enough.

Using stone vs stick barely brings happiness, but it does use less firewood, which means less hand holding. Upgrading with daub uses even less.
