Common issues (2)
Making this a new post, for those who didn't like my tone in the last one. This is just the goods, nothing more.

Wife bugs- DO NOT marry a villager! Only marry one of the available workers you can recruit. They have a little person icon on the mini map, usually sit around the fire and have a dialog that you can invite them to come to your village. IF you marry a town woman, they come with baggage and bugs. Marry them at your own risk.

Quest givers- If you can't talk to them, save and reload (you can save in place and reload, take 2 seconds) If that doesn't work, the quest is either bugged completely or you are missing something. There are quests (like the tax quest) that are bugged and being fixed.

Housing- Only TWO workers per house. Extra beds are set for children in the mechanic (may be changed later). Doesn't matter the size of the house. Giving workers a bigger house only increases their happiness. Upgrading the walls and making them out of stone also gives them a boost. You may be thinking, this is BS! Well think of it this way. They may implement your villagers having kids, hence the free beds, so your village becomes more immersive in the future? Think of all those little rug rats you get to feed, that aren't even yours!

Main story- If you did not progress with the main story, that is why you can't build past 2 things. The main story is your building availability best friend. Once you get to the 1000 rep quest, you have to grind mini quests to get the 1000. Can be done, I'm well over 1500 (500 quest reward when you hit 1k). Don't want to do the main story, well you are limited to how many things you can build, good luck? The main story is the only way to get a larger building limit. (at this time). I am currently a little over 5k rep with 14 workers and takes 7500 rep for the 15th.

Management tab- If you have a worker, that isn't working, it's because you did not read about management. EVERYTHING done with your workers is done with the management tab. You want to move your house (move as you, not the building {Button for that is "C" not "F"})? Guess what, it's done in the management tab. You want your worker to farm a field, guess where! It is very simple once you get past the "OMG how do I work this". Look, you click on a building, hit F and it takes you into that building (can do the same exact thing with your workers). When you are in a building there are more tabs on your right. That is where you manage what your worker is producing, like thread or bags in the Sewing building. Barns are required to assign your field workers. When you assign them to the barn, you assign them to either work the barn or a field, very simple. Field workers work the fields and barn workers work in the barn (thrashing etc.) DO NOT help field workers. ALL or none for them. They have to do the job from start to finish or they will bug out (this is NOT a bug for everyone, but better safe than sorry). Just let them roll. Remember, when you load a game save, you may have to reassign workers, they sometimes (most the time) go idle. Just reassign them to the jobs.

Farming- Set your workers to the barn then field worker to work fields or farmer to thrash and stuff in the barn. In the management tab, click fields and you can set the crop. you can set multiple crops in the field. Click the crop you want at the top, click and hold to drag for multiple or just click for individual. Hit escape and accept the message to save that pops up. ALSO!! Farming is NOT done yet. It isn't supposed to even be finished until Q4. So, if you are complaining about farming being messed up, you are really complaining about an unfinished mechanic that isn't even fully implemented.

Animals- You can't feed them. Sorry? You have to have an NPC working in the building to feed those animals. As of right now, you don't even need animal feed as the "tools required" has been disabled by the developer. So start stocking up the animal feed to be ready! (feed goes in the sacks)

Workers- DO NOT recruit villagers until you have a FOOD Resource building. They will only take food from and deliver food to the Food Resource building. Same goes for standard materials (wood, crafted items etc.), they go in and out of a Resource storage only. A worker assigned to the wood shed will cut a log, deliver it to the chest at the Woodshed and through the day, will deliver it to the resource storage. It is all automatic. That being said, if you are exploiting the over limit of the storage, your workers will NOT deliver items and will stop working once their workplace chest if full. So if you have resource storage 1 and have 342/300 items, your workers will stand at their place of work and do nothing.

Building placement- You can place buildings everywhere except on resources, in villages, or incorrect terrain. That being said, you can place your mine 1200m from your main area and your worker will still work and deliver to your resource storage (if it has room). When they start walking from their home at the beginning of the day. the progress bar starts moving. Even if they don't make it there, they still do a full days work.

Weapons- Spears fly to the right, so aim left a bit. Bows take time to figure out and then are easy.

Tools- Right now, you do not need to have tools in your workers "Workplace" chests. But, they will soon require them. Axes in the Woodshed, Bow and Skinning knife in the hunter lodge, Sythe-seeds-manure-bag (not the small bag) in the barn. Self explainitory, if you need it to do that task, so will they!

Taxes- You are charged every SEASON and billed every YEAR. So if you have a simple small house (10g) in the Spring and keep that all year, you will owe 40g in taxes in the spring. Now, if you build something and tear it down, you owe taxes for the season(s) it was up. So you have a house (10g) and a 16x16 field (i forget, lets say 100) that is 440 in taxes come spring. Oh but you built a 16x16 and farmed carrots and destroyed it when you were done, well those two seasons you were growing carrots is 200g, so you will owe that, making your taxes 640g. If you build something, and think "oh i don't like where this is, I'm moving it", guess what, that season you will be charged for that building. I am not sure if this a fully built building or not (for taxes on destroyed buildings). I have only tested it with the buildings I had fully up and deleted to either move or upgrade to the next tier.

Quests and times- If it says wait for further events, wait....for....further....events.... This is a "Dynasty game" Dynasties are not built in a day. Wait a few years, watch your journal. Your journal is great for telling you cool things like, you need this many, or follow quests here with a simple click of "F"!

I probably missed a few, as this is early access and there are bugs galore. Post your issues here, and either I or another good samaritan will assist. If it is a bug, you'll need to post it in the "Bugs" forum or search for it there.

I made the mistake of marrying a villager. She came with 2 other ghost people who aren't in my village but keep showing up as residents of whatever house I put her in. It's a nightmare.
I would like to ask, what do you do with the rotten food? Some food can't be sell, even for 0 gold. I don't like to throw them out littering everywhere.

Sorry i missed you last reply session. You are welcome! It does have a lot of charm, and I hope they don't ruin it with the requests for Multiplayer etc. People are complaining the seasons are to fast, then when they get into mid game realize it's perfect. Crops would be terrible if it was longer. Waiting 12 hours for flax to grow, just to make my new stylish Jordan's.

I'd say there're quite a lot of missunderstandings nowadays when it comes to "MP" talk. I think a mp type of game like in a PVP sense as The Black Death attempts to deliver won't do any good to the game's spirit. But as I'd love to co-op play this game with my boyfriend without any PVP taste, I really do hope they will be able to implement a limited co-op gameplay option. So you at last may have the choice, instead of being forced into mp-pvp like Black Death does.

I don't know if it was what you meant by excluding MP, but as far as it's about PvP I can understand your concerns. Limited Co-Op the other hand could enhance a lot of long term fun. We really enjoyed The Forest together on that base, which was never intended to have a cooperative feature, or a progressing savegame file. So this is quite a road to take for a charming game like this I'd say, especially if you have someone beloved to share this with.

Edit:
About the season time span - I'm kinda torn about this, maybe it's an early-game impression, as everything's new and you have the feeling you have to spend every minute wisely, because the game rushes you through the year. I think making it adjustable wouldn't really hurt anybody. Ppl would recognize quickly, if they'd have to wait an eternity for their crops to grow if they slow down the days too much. On the other hand you can speed things up by yourself with sleeping in your bed, so why not adding a slider to adjust things your self the other way round as well? Just an innocent thought. :)
I don't think there should multiplayer at all. In a dynasty game, how do two or more people build dynasties? I wouldn't be mad if they added local co-op, whatever. Let them have their little friends join in. But if they make this an online game, I don't care how many hours I have into it, I will get a refund. I bought this, and every game in my library as a single player or optional local co-op. I HATE online games. I made the mistake of buying Conan, because who doesn't like Conan? When I started getting killed by people right at the start I went into single player (local). Then found out there are no quests, no story, nothing. Totally boring. Every villager in every village except one in the whole game is hostile? Dumb.

So, if they add local co-op, and keep it based (quest wise) as a single player game, I won't mind. If they make it online, I'm out. I play games to relax and have fun, if you start getting all of your hard work torn down, while you are asleep in real life, and come back to a destroyed village that took you 4 real days to build, nope, I'll walk.

It is. They are working on it, but the game isn't completed and they really want to push new content and are working on that. People are getting mad, saying we need fixes and not new content, but some of the new content will fix a lot of complaints. Like farming AI. People are non stop complaining about farming AI, when farming isn't even fully done and won't be till Q4. So, we all just have to be patient.

If you aren't to far along, start a new game. If you are, try taking down a wall in your home and making her homeless and see if she leaves you after a few seasons. (you can sleep by fires instead)

I have heard people taking about this, I don't know if there is a way or not. I have kept all my food in the food storage building, which keeps it at 100%. Never had rotten food myself. Good luck, hope you can find the answer.
I added a little something to farming. Before I turned off my messages and set them to private, I got some flack about farming. Hopefully my little revision answers anyone still confused. :cozycrashfish:

My fully done village. I am not a youtuber, I don't know how to edit, I don't have a microphone. Very simple short video. Basically just showing you a 30/30 fully upgraded village. Just takes time. I'm planning to put my fields inside the wall once there is bandits, hence the extra space to the west.
Not bad, only I just wish those ally way is a little bit more bigger no sunlight, bandit can easily hide there.

Yes, I think you got that this is pretty much what I meant in my last post, seperating co-op from standard MP. I don't need a PVP mode at all, no matter where in such games. <3
Mh, besides that it sounds a bit offensive reading "have their little friends join in", why such hard feelings about people wanting to team up without harming others? I know this whole MP thing could rise rough mood and even hate, but damn everything that's not self-centered then is a bit extreme, I'd say... Single player games are totally fine, but limited to them a lot of people start behaving that self-centered way all day long IRL. I love SP games as well, but I'm voting for balance or the power of having the choice to play with friends. (...not against "friends" in some kinda twisted SM-friendship)

I think this game could really profit from it (CO-OP to repeat it clearly). Online it would need to be of course, because ppl don't go on LAN parties that much nowadays, but it's not the competitive multiplayer-Online you meant, it's still a cooperative one. This is because we play Conan Exiles on our own server, away from any exaggerating people going bonkers.

With the Pippi-Server mod you can as well create own quests, questlines, NPCs and so on, if you're into world building, but(!) I do agree with you that I was a bit disappointed at first when realising, that there weren't quests next to the tutorial. Needed time to find a mood-spot to sort Conan Ex into, find a bunch of mods to implement and finally build a fortress to prosper. There's still waaay to go for Conan Ex to deliver more mechanics to fill the excluded PVP gap for us, but we now know what we can expect from it.

I have so many story driven single player games, but there are so many lost potentials; for some of them (not all) it would've been a thousand times better to archieve things with one or two beloved fellows. Felt that way while playing Kingdom Come Deliverance! And gladly Medieval Dynasty has a quite similar approach to the player, I would dare to hope not to be limited to an (yet quite interesting) Kingdom Come single player building expansion. Ppl need to learn to work together without being forced to by other groups that only gather to consume on the solo players. So at least having an option to play together would help build friendships or keep them alive at large distances.

Especially in such times it's necessary to have things you can build on together without being in competitive fear. We already have that competitive thought in RL, a lot of us are having enough of already.

I think only people that either don't understand to seperate the co-op concept from pvp-mp, or those that are just egocentric or just don't have noone to join in would prefer to always play alone. (or the other extreme permanently in competitive mode) I feel sorry for them, for they should be able to experience the benefits of playing with beloved ones as well.

That said, I hope you understand, that for my part of understanding I think we're pretty much thinking likewise, even if not exacly the same. So in any case - no offence. <3

Just wait for season change. Recruited NPCs get teleported to their home eventually. If you take a look at the menu of the hunting lodge, you will find that he is an expert in remote working and already produces things for you without being there. So, no need to worry. ;)
Ok thank you very much :)

Again: Ambitious project, but they release updates without prior testing. In the long run that breaks the game. Devs should react fairly quickly to such serious program errors. The game is currently UNPLAYABLE!
I wouldn't say unplayable Im at year 9, all villages have two kids, and i am having the time of my life playing it. I enjoy the grind.

Keep in mind that the one calling it unplayable was an older post. It is very playable right now, I would say so as well. There also are several levels of testing in place now, with the public beta being one that everyone can join.
