I love this game!!! And I love the 80's <3

TOTALLY AWESOME

This game is totally RADICAL DUDE! Just played through and I loved it. Great escape room elements with so much 80s. Such cheesy acting and there is even a rap to dance to. Don't want to give away too much. Took me about 2 hours to complete. I did search pretty thoroughly for Easter eggs and such.

The game nailed what is wrong with so many escape games.
1) It has a great, fun story! This is lacking in so many.
2) Everything is polished and works well! (surprisingly hard to find)
3) A great length! I have played waaaay too many 15 to 20 minute experiences. This took me well over an hour to explore, complete the puzzles, and complete the end.

Definitely would recommend this for anyone that loves retro games, the 80's, and/or escape rooms!

This is a puzzle / escape room for VR that is 80's inspired in its theme. You will come across 80's iconic items such as the power glove, TV remote, keyboard (synth), skateboard, arcade cabinet, commodore 64 clone & cassette player. You will play the VR versions of some 80's iconic games in Duck Hunt, Asteroids, & Space Invaders.

Even though Windows Mixed Reality is not listed as officially supported, I can confirm that it does work with this game (tested on the Samsung Odyssey). Teleportation is the only locomotion mode currently and there is no smooth or snap turning. Most of the interactions are simple highlight the area and click trigger to interact. Game took me about 1.5 hours to complete, although I did have to cheat on one puzzle (looked online for the answer).

There are 3 locations in this game. The introduction escape room office is the most bland area. It's too simple and there just isn't much interesting about this location. The second location is the main area and where the most interesting puzzles are. I found them to be neat & challenging. This second location also has a lot interesting things to play with. This is the best part of the game. The last location changes up the game and you'll be playing those VR version of the 80's retro games. They are mini-games versions though and they just aren't that fun to play.

Whole thing ends with the strange robot dance video. I don't know who the actor is who did that, but they clearly did not get paid enough to do that to themselves. Spoiler alert: you cannot gouge your eyes out during this portion with the scissors although I dare you not to try it for yourself.

Rate 6.5/10. I think it is slightly overpriced for what it is. It really has low production values and needs more polish. However, It's better than your average escape room in VR (especially the 2nd room).

My Initial Thoughts:
Lots of attention to detail, some really unique and original puzzles, a blast from the past and one of the best VR Escape Room games I have played to date.

A nostalgic experience that was worth backing.

I backed this game a few months back and got my key over the weekend. I was very excited to have some throwback feel to what I WISH my room would have been like growing up. Having a full cab in my bedroom would have been totally tubular. I encountered a couple bugs on my first play through, but were quickly fixed by the dev team. All to often I find myself in a game that's too difficult and lengthy for my liking, but this one while stumped me a few times, I was able to figure things out and have fun with it.

No smooth location on this title and while the teleport system works fine, I would have liked the option as I'm not gonna toss my cookies on this gnarly experience. There is a lot of attention to detail and care given to the environment that can be glossed over easily so make sure to enjoy the scenery and not just rush to the end.

Short but made with love, worth it.

Fun retro 80s escape room/arcade game hybrid. There are some fun, challenging puzzles and cute 80s atmosphere. The pictures, casette tapes, the playable synth, the playable speak n spell, the playable arcade game - all really fun, nice touches!
Fully voice acted and some really fun surprises!

Also, not sure why it says I have so little time - probably because I played on my Oculus through steam.

A small, but excellent VR adventure sprinkled with some nostalgia. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the cheesiness of it all. I did use a guide, but the exploration was fun. I always enjoy games like this from small developers who really spend the time to create something unique.

A brilliant, fun and well presented game, that didn't take itself too seriously.

It felt like I was in an actual escape room, the puzzles where fun and interesting enough, with puzzles being very well balanced, the VR aspect worked great with loads of interactive objects.

Would recommend and I really look forward to the sequel they are working on :)

I had downloaded this game without much expectation, mostly because we never have enough interesting games to play on VR. We started it, along with the one set in the 90's, then we somehow grew tired of it, possibly because we were stuck and because back then a cable was required to run Steam VR. We decided to give it a second chance and I am SO GLAD we did! As soon as we passed the moment where we were previously struggling, the game started to be more intense, with some creepy moments (not creepy, but I get easily scared by dark rooms and dolls/plushes lurking in the dark). Well, what a blast! There was even an unexpected plot twist at the end, end when we thought it couldn't get any better, the game "changed", revealing many surprises. We were so happy to reach the end, super fun! It ran smoothly, the visual quality was very good and movements/physics were legit. I definitely recommend this chapter and I will give a second chance to the 90's chapter too :) Congrats, hope you'll release more games like this!
