How do I kill this golden hand?
Glover keeps running away, the damn coward. His resistance is insane and he dodges like a pro. Do they really expect you to be able to kill this thing in the first palace? Is it even worth trying to kill this thing early on or am I wasting resources since he always runs away? Seems like physical attacks are the way to go but any tips would help.

Your best bet is physical attacks. Really, just have the protagonist use whatever's avaliable (that early it's probably going to be Hysterical Slap or Twin Fangs) and have Chie use Rebellion followed by Rampage/Assault Dive if you're decently leveled.

Once you can start fusing Personas with Almighty spells, using those will prove extremely effective on all Gold Hands (they take like x5 damage.) First one I think is Taotie at Level 35 with innate Megido.

Use damage Items like Ice Cubes, since Golden Hands can't dodge them and they deal 1/3 of their HP / use.

It's important though that you get the preemptive strike.

Later on, Megido is your friend.

I can't even get to him. When I see him, he'll always walk strait towards me and never, ever turn around. He'll just very slowly make me walk back to the beginning of the floor, then the Grim Reaper will spawn.

If he sees me, he runs like an Olympian and chasing him will guarantee a fight with one of the monsters along the way, then he'll just be gone.

The Reaper doesn't spawn if you stay too long on a floor in this one. He only appears in chests if you open a lot in a TV World trip, and even then your navigators will specifically warn you if you try to open the chest he's in, letting you back off or prepare.

You move very slightly faster than Golden Hands even when they're running away, so if you've mapped out a bit of the floor, getting them into a long hallway will let you eventually catch up to it and ambush.

Alright thanks, those elemental items sound very effective on them. Definitely gonna try those out if I got any. Is there a way to get more of those easily or are they random chest/enemy drops?

Otherwise I guess it's just praying for a crit with physical skills until later.

The sword also has more reach then you would think. Try striking while you are running behind it, any you may end up hitting.

Then wtf is that sound I hear when I stick around? I hear ominous breathing and chains dragging; sounds you don't hear at any other time.

Use Rage status ailment - Golden Hand not only dont escape from you in battle, but u did more dmg to them. In late game use Naoto with Megidolaon (Almighty dmg).

That is the Grim Reaper. However hes in a chest and you will be warned if you try to open the chest he is in. Unlike in say Persona 3, you cant get ganked by the Grim Reaper because you stayed too long.

I've always used triangle, rush attacks.
Oragepoilu Jun 18, 2020 @ 5:14am
About the reaper; every 20 chest you open you will hear the chain sound. At this point a chest MIGHT have him inside if you open it, but the game clearly warn you.
Try about lvl 70 later, after saving, if you want to kill it.

About golden hand.
First golden hand have 150hp, that's 3 damaging items you can buy - good for xp, not so much for gold since it cost. The xp:gold from the first one isn't THAT good, so it's not a big deal.

At level 35 you can get taotie (tower, fusion triangle). It's possible to get invigorate 1 & 2 from other persona during the fusion, so he get 8sp/turn. He have medigo for 15s, it's a allmighty spell.
All mighty spell have lower hit chance than other spell but they bypass hand resistance.
With a vanilla taoti you can os the first hand (not worth it though going back) and you can two shot (almost one shot) the second hand (300hp) from the next dungeon.
That's usually the best way to deal with it.

Golden hand do flee if they hit a weakness or crit, so be mindfull of this.

eroo Jun 18, 2020 @ 5:49am
Debuff it's defense, use rampage or smtn
Lumisentius Jun 18, 2020 @ 8:58am
Get spells that do almighty attack, that's probably the EASIEST way to kill them, though SP-consuming.
