Magic-Indicates the effectiveness of the persona's magic skills.
Endurance-Indicates the effectiveness of the persona's defensive abilities.
Agility-affects a persona's hit and evasion rates.
Luck-Affects the possibillity of the persona performing critical hits and evading attacks.
The higher your level, higher HP/SP and higher persona level you can create.
Persona level => Unlock more skill , Persona stats use when you use skill
Strength -> Physical skill (HP skill)
Magic -> Magical skill(SP skill)
etc.
Aside from the overall level scaling, your personas stats determine how you do in battle. So your persona's LU (luck) determines how likely you are to get a crit, your persona's AG (agility) determines who likely you are to dodge, magic damage is scaled by MA, etc.
Fyi, weapon damage only affects how much damage you do when you attack without a persona, but armor will protect you no matter what. So you should focus on spending your money on armor before weapons
Also thanks for all the other very detailed answers in this thread! :)
