It automatically detects and downloads all missing DirectX libraries. It's one of the first things that you should run after the install of any version of Windows.
the same thing happened to bioshock2
if you try to fix it
download the d3d9.dll from an oficial site
and paste it into c: /windows/ system32 folder
you can also try to force directx11
go to your game right click properties
klick set launch options
within the launch options menue
type -d3d11
start the game.
Hi, thanks for the answer but even when forcing DX11 the error is the same...now I get the same error in Dark Souls.
"Steam" runs the "first time installer" when you start the game and installs all the required files.
(Steam does this for all the games on the game disk ive moved)
Try to either uninstall, install or just check game cache.
