Lost all progress

Hey.

I just lost all progress of like 13 or 14 runs, apoc #2 beaten, all but 3 achievements unlocked and about 70% of all upgrades unlocked. What... That just ruined everything. ._.

Any way to restore my files? What the flux happened?

I haven't had to use it myself, but there do appear to be backup save files. Not sure when they get backed up, but you could try swapping it out and see if it helps.

C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME_HERE\AppData\LocalLow\Ishtar Games\The Last Spell\Save\Backups

I haven't seen official documentation, but I'd imagine you just rename "GameSave__BACKUP.bin" to "GameSave.bin" and move it to the main Save folder. I'd back up the whole "The Last Spell" folder, just so you have it, incase there's a better way to restore a save.

After making the backup, just rename the files, and overwrite the original saves with the (now renamed) backups.

Again, haven't used it, haven't seen the documentation, but that's often how it works. It's worth a try. Let me know if that helps.

Backup file unfortunately was created after the wipe. Why there is only a single backup file if it backs up so frequently, I don't know! Seems obsolete. :(

Maybe just use someone else's progress save file?

Someone on discord prolly has around the same amount of progress as you.

You can use mine. It is Apoc 4, with 90%, and 92% favors. a bit more than you had unlocked. But maybe you are ok with that.

dude this thread if over a year old.... just update your game or restart steam if it isnt showing

It isn't a bug, check the news, they wiped the progress because they reworked all the meta progression system

yeah.i just buy this game last month.i busy with work.but today when i want play,all my save already been delete.have u all same with me??sory for my bad english.

Yes. The update notes explained that all progress has been wiped to do a major update.

At least if you played the beta, you could use that beta save after the official patch. So I didn't have to start from scratch again. I'm glad they did that at least.
