so like is there a way to beat this guy with literally anything? seems everytime hes up to bat i never feeel like i lost do to miss playing it feels like i just got cheated out by hundreds of enemys spawning every second and my attack being always less then 10, i'd rather a huge rework to this boss or just straight up removal. i like the game alot but fighting him over and over is really starting to make me regret getting the game and a single boss should never kill a games vibe that bad

Against hundreds of enemies spawning every second, you need reliable AoE. Either a sweep unit that you upgrade with quick, or a good bunch of targeted spells, and some with holdover.

The best remedy against sap is simply not to use units with low attack. You can use rage to outscale the sap, or abuse whatever mechanic such as gorge, incant, slay, harvest, reform, etc to increase your attack. Or you can build an awoken tank and use adaptive mutation to turn it into a high dmg unit. Melting also have that spell that remove all debuffs. Alternatively just stack up spell weakness and kill him with one final high damage spell.

There are many ways to deal with this guy and you know from the beginning which final boss you are going to fight, so it's really a matter of knowing how to prepare yourself.

Sap Seraph really doesn't do much of anything if you have some sort of damage scaling. The Gilded Wings (10 / 190 stats), Darkwings (11/140 stats, gain 15 armor on harvest) and Shadewings (15x2 / 5 stats) in the fight are going to be your main concern. The enemy layouts have over 40 incoming damage on most turns if you can't pick off the back lines, and (like all Seraph fights) you need to take tankbusting seriously because leaking Gilded Wings will kill you extremely quickly.

If you don't know, in addition to the listed traits for Seraph's effect each turn, each fight has the following:

Temperant: Shadewings, which are backliners that do 15x2 damage and have 5 HP (and get even stronger on slay; between that and multistrike, chump blocking isn't effective) appear in most waves, and there are two of them in waves 2 and 3.

Chaste: Pyrewings, which have sweep, emberdrain and 4 / 150 stats appear in waves 2, 4, and 6. If you set up on multiple floors and cannot kill them before they attack, silence them, or drop them to 0 attack, you can end up having 0 ember on several turns of the fight.

Dilligent: Purifiers (2 / 10 stats, give a Weight of Contrition after combat) appear on turns 1, 2, 3, 5, and 7, and will slow you to a crawl if you set up top or can't kill them. Additionally, your deck starts with three blights in it that cost 1 energy and do 1 pyre damage if unplayed. (These do not count for Abandoned Stave for some reason, but do trigger Ember Stasis and power up Dante). Additionally, the fight has an unusually high number of Gilded Wings.

But yeah, the sap itself is largely ignorable if you have anything that gains rage or attack every turn. It also has no effect on thorns, frostbite, spell weakness, or spell damage, and never hits the Pyre to reduce the effects of Vapor Funnel or Siren's Song as methods of clearing. You just have to watch out for situations where units hit 0 attack and stop triggering Strike effects or being able to kill Shadewings.

Don't rely on multi-attackers when you know you're going up against him, unless you have insane rage scaling or a way to clear debuffs, and the challenge is reduced to getting enough AoE to deal with the waves. Which can be hard in its own right for sure (Pyrewings are a pain in the rear), but has less to do with Seraph, and more with preparing for those enemies in advance. You'll always face beefy dudes in the Seraph fight and the one before, so no matter what deck you're building, you should always be mindful of having a way to take them out, or at the very least kill the guys they're protecting.

Both the non-cleansing Seraphs are notoriously straightforward to stack frostburn on due to the high amount of waves, so if you're having trouble I'd suggest starting with Stygian main.
